[edit] File:Metrication_by_year_map.svg

Following your request for comment on irc, I'd say the image could do with a definition of what it means by metrication (I didn't think Britain was very metric), and also what white/black countries signify. Also possibly moving the code down to the end of the page, below the licence. -mattbuck (Talk) 03:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello AzaToth!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Commons images are used by editors on many projects in many languages. Each image is put into categories. This helps other editors find them. Please add categories to each image you upload.

To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.

Here is a gallery of your images. Please check that each image has a category. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the help desk. Thank you.

[edit] I undid your changes…

…about putting a Copyvio tag on several screenshots of free softwares running on Mac OS X. There is no consensus about whether such images are copyvios or not, and a speedy delete is certainly not the solution to talk about it. See Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#Mac OS copyvios. Hello Azartoth. If you still believe those screenshots are copyvios that don't fall under the de minimis exception, could you fill a deletion request instead? Please be precise as, as a non-Mac user, I fail to see where the copyvio exactly is. Is that because the software, despite being free, use the Mac OS look and feel (colors, icons, window decoration, etc.)? Thank you. — Xavier, 15:11, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] stitching

hi there,

thank you for taking your time to stitch together the images, it is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately the building looks a bit strange, it looks slightly twisted and warped. Maybe there is a way to make it look like a normal building? Gryffindor (talk) 17:14, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

I used that projection as I've got trouble stitching the corners, and would result in a high degree of crop AzaToth 17:40, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
