File:Kathleen Wynne, MPP for Don Valley West and Premier of Ontario.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

There is a line on the source page that says it is public domain. Could someone look at the source page: from https://www.ontarioliberal.ca/media_resources :Images are public domain and may be copied, cropped and distributed. What would the source page have to say? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Libby Adder (talk • contribs) 15:56, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

I know that file is public domain. What does wiki need to see? Am I typing my question where someone will see it and respond? I really don't comprehend this talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Libby Adder (talk • contribs) 15:58, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Image licensing[edit]
Hi Libby Adder, thank you uploading images to Wikimedia Commons.
Unfortunately the images that were added are under copyright and Wikimedia Commons can only host free images. Please read through the Licensing page. You can also use the OTRS tool to upload images from authors who are willing to release their work to Wikimedia Commons under a free license.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. // sikander { talk } 18:25, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- Love some help, but I really have no clue how to respond to messages on wikipedia. I'm typing my message here, but I don't think this is right. The file I uploaded is public domain. The page I've linked to says it is. Is that insufficient? {{Libby Adder (talk) 16:01, 23 April 2018 (UTC)}}
- @Libby Adder: Ah, thanks. I see that the source page has been updated to show the Public Domain message. You can email me from this page if you need help with anything else. // sikander { talk } 12:46, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Please sign your postings[edit]
As a courtesy to other editors, it is Commons:Signatures policy to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, deletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then automatically be added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.
