Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Getting your images deleted

Hey Greg, if you'd like to get your images deleted, first you'll need to send an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org to verify that you are who you say you are (and not just a random troll trying to get all of Greg's images deleted). Please explain the situation in your email and they should be able to help you from there. Just keep in mind that it's a slow process run by volunteers, so it may take a month or two before anything happens with it. Kaldari (talk) 14:53, 5 July 2019 (UTC)

FYI, it looks like several folks have proposed overwriting your existing images with cropped images rather than deleting outright. Does that work for you? Kaldari (talk) 20:38, 5 July 2019 (UTC)

Hope you can read this, as I do not understand well how to communicate on this site. I read their responses, they were all over the board. I still don't understand why it's so difficult to delete images? Even overwriting still leaves the original on the site. PS: I don't really care about the link to Flickr. I have begun processing these images. To start I'm focusing on those that already have crops done where the image of you can easily be removed leaving the crop in place. Overwritten images can still be dealt with in a slightly different manner. I'm going to please ask for your patience here. As there are over 1,000 images to go through it will take me a while but I am working on it. If you have any questions please click on the link next to my name that says "Talk" and then at the top click on the button that says "Click me to start a new post!"
