Support: Good portrait; I only wish some of the equipment were sharper. Otherwise, the file description tells a good story but needs to be edited for grammar, and I'm thinking that perhaps some categories could be added for the equipment pictured. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:49, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

Wet-blanket oppose Good for the competition it was in, probably, but not for FP. Since not only are the scientists turned to the side, their faces are mostly covered up, their bafflement is informed (i.e., without looking at the filename and the description, I could come up with several scenarios as to what's going on, which might not even include what actually is happening). Yes, the two scientists are symmatrical, and yes, there's a clean white look, but compositionally that's not striking enough.
Lastly there's a bit more noise and unsharpness than we usually tolerate in FPs. Daniel Case (talk) 17:24, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Oppose Daniel says it all. This image has its nice aspects but it says nothing unless you read the description to the end, and most of the equipment they are said to be baffled about is severely unsharp. --Kreuzschnabel 19:05, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Support. The way I see it, this is the kind of photo Commons needs. A small defect is acceptable. JukoFF (talk) 21:29, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Support Interesting subject, great composition, whitebalance and colors well handled. --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 04:47, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

Support per others. There's enough body language here to tell stories. No, you don't know whether they're baffled, science-ing really hard (with the Eye of the Tiger riff playing) or just patiently waiting for the thing to make a beep. That's a pro, not a con. It's an excellent general "scientists at work" image. The real kind, not the fake colored water in test tubes kind. --El Grafo (talk) 14:45, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
