- Info Juma (Friday) Mosque, Shamakhi, Azerbaijan. This mosque, built in 743, is considered the first one in the Caucasus after the Friday mosque of Derbent (constructed in 734). It was built during the governance period of Caliphate's vicar in the Caucasus and Dagestan. The mosque underwent numerous damages due to plunderings, earthquakes and wars and was lately reconstructed in 2009.. Comment A fine night shot by the Poco, but the stitching error on the left tower must be fixed.--Peulle (talk) 07:12, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- True, thanks for the hint, Peulle, I oversaw it. I've just fixed it Poco2 07:37, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

- Comment - I'm willing to overlook blotchy sky in nighttime conditions, but there is a halo between the top of the mosque and the sky throughout, most obviously in the center where crescents are pictured against the sky. Please fix that. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:01, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Better, but I'm still seeing the remains of it. I may support, anyway, though. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:07, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Ikan, I checked it and cannot see any problematic halos at 100%. Surely there is room for improvement, it is always the case, specially in challenging lighting conditions, but I don't see in this case need to edit it and most people do not seem to be concerned Poco2 06:32, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I still see them, but they're a lot less obvious than the posterization lines all over the sky. I'm not sure it's worth trying to smooth out the sky, but since no-one else has complained about that....It's a big file, and overall, I think it deserves a feature, so a moderate Support vote from me. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:41, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

- Neutral I like it, but it needs perspective adjustment (move viewpoint to the left should fix it) - Benh (talk) 09:23, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- Benh, believe me, it isn't so obvious. It would work good if the corridor would be aligned to the middle of the mosque, but it isn't as you can see in a satellite image. I think that the current view is a good compromise as it gives a feeling of symmetry although it isn't, if you look closely. This topic reminds me to this other picture (more extreme), here the satellite image. Poco2 04:24, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Poco, sorry but I beg to differ. The horizontal lines are converging toward somewhere in the right. Far, but still. The other picture doesn't have that issue. - Benh (talk) 19:10, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I see, I didn't realize the convergence, should look better now --Poco2 01:38, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
