Subsidiary church Saint Ulrich, Villach, Carinthia, Austria
  • @Daniel Case: I took a close look, and I don't see the problem with the left edge of the church, which makes me suspect that your display may be the problem. The bark is difficult for me to judge but I don't see something that looks so bad that it's clearly a problem in my opinion, so I will  Support. --Pine 07:13, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What I see at the left edge is that it becomes more indistinct than the section immediately below it with the trees behind it. In fact, it looks like there is a slightly dark halo there, which may be part of the same problem. Daniel Case (talk) 04:11, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Btw @Daniel Case: , the matter of fact, that the photo was shot on a chilly January winter morning and the position of the sun was way down low (so the sunlight had to penetrate the hazy atmosphere almost parallel to the surface of the earth), the whole scenery is plunged in the long-wave reddish light; that’s the reason why the bark of the tilia trees is not brownish but more on the reddish side. That circumstance can evoke an unnatural appearance. -- Johann Jaritz (talk) 07:34, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I could see that it was shot at sunrise, and I can imagine it looked magical, and I don't blame you for taking it. But ... taking in mind what I noticed and remarked on in my reply to Pine, it looks as if perhaps the image was slightly oversharpened. The colors of the trees look alright, but something about the texture doesn't. Daniel Case (talk) 04:11, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
