I loved you picture of a Black-browed Albatross that you added to the Albatross page. Would you be willing to release another image onto wikicommons under a gdfl/creative commons licsence - this one? http://www.flickr.com/photos/gvasquez/71149259/in/set-1532993/ It is a stunning picture of a Cape Petrel (Pintado). Even avarage ones are unavaliable on free liscences as required by wikpedia - and this one is distinctively better than avarage. I'lll make the effort to write an article for it. Definetely yes!![edit]

No problem at all, but I'd like your opinion on how to post this photograph: for the albatross I took the original picture, which is 3000x2000 pixels big, and clipped the part where the bird appeared. Should I do the same procedure for this little petrel, or do you think the complete photograph would be much nicer?

Please tell me when you've written the article and it's URL so I can attach the photo to your text.

    • Someone had already added the image to the taxonomy box, I just added the caption to state where the photo was taken. Please check out this two photo sets, as you may find some others of interest.

Penguins (Gentoo and Adelie) at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gvasquez/sets/1540164/ Other Seabirds (Skua, Giant Petrel, etc.) at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gvasquez/sets/1532993/

I also have many other land birds which I'll soon be uploading to my flickr site.

    • This image [1] would be good for the [2] Fulmar page, we have lots of pictures of the Northern Fulmar but none of the Southern. The Giant Petrel pictures are nice too, I'd like to use one as soon as I can figure out what species is involved. The tern is good too. I look forward to seeing the land bird pictures. • No problem at all, just tell me exactly what images (URL) you'd like to use and I'll upload the original sized version of them, along with their correct species name, as I have some friend which were with me on that trip that know exactly all the names. Which fulmar(s) and which tern(s) are you interested in? I've tried to gather most of my bird's photos at this place http://www.flickr.com/photos/gvasquez/sets/72057594072679435/ so there are some of the land birds there also. And some of them have the exact species name as part of the photo name also.
    • I've got some species names, and the ones I don't have are just the same of the others.

  • Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The images I would like to use are.

Links are [9], [10] & [11]
      • Great, thank you. I have added them to the relevant articles in en Wikipedia (I cropped the Fulamr one to be visible as a thumb). Incidentally, I got the English version of Albatross featured and have submitted it as a potential main page article using your Black-browed Albatross image, so hopefully it will be on the front page some time in April! I'll let you know more when they decide when to show it. Sabine's Sunbird 11:34, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Fuchsia Magellanica - Navarin Island - Beagle Channel.jpg[edit]

Very nice pic, but it is Embothrium coccineum, not a Fuchsia! - MPF 15:17, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And the first photo of this species we have on commons! :-)) MPF 15:52, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In spanish it's called "ciruelillo", don't know the English name for it. Those two flowers are very common back at home that I always get them mixed up. I also added it to the spanish version, so I'll move right now. Could you please move from the english version to it's correct place?
Already done (in Spanish as well as English :-) MPF 21:01, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
