Propilei all'ingresso di Piazza del duomo a Lecce[edit]

Buonasera, Sailko.

Ciao --Sailko (talk) 18:02, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Greek goddess statue[edit]

Hi. Hope you are doing well. I was going over the categories related to Greek mythological figures and I noticed this file which was uploaded by you back in 2014. The title says the statue to be a depiction of Hera (who is usually shown wearing a crown and holding a scepter), whereas the figure shown in the photo appears to be holding a scepter and a "wheat sheaf", which is a well-known symbol of the goddess Demeter. I was going to request a file name change but I thought it would be better to consult you first, since it's your own work and you might have had a solid reason for naming it as such, and I could totally be wrong. I'll look forward to your response. Have a good day. Keivan.fTalk 01:23, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi user:Keivan.f, thanks for the check. Museum capitation says it was originally Hera, restored with attribution of Ceres and a head of Faustina Minor. Misunderstanding the original meaning of fragmentary statues was typical in the past centuries, so the further restoration can be misleading.--Sailko (talk) 10:16, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
Hello again and thanks for the response. Well, I think I wasn’t wrong after all since Ceres is the Roman equivalent of Demeter, though now I think a rename is not necessary as you had included all the information in the file name, which I didn’t notice initially. In any case, I think it’s better to perhaps capitalize Ceres in the file name and include the information in English in the description for non-Italian speakers. I think I’ll add it up myself. Thanks for the clarification. Keivan.fTalk
