Like in the years before, in 1982 came out three stamp series in the Faroe Islands. The first was the Europe (CEPT) stamps on 14 March (FR 64 and 65), showing the Viking route to the Faroes and a Viking house there. On 7 June, there was a series about Faroese villages (FR 66-68) by the artist Ingálvur av Reyni. The last issue of 27 September is about the ancient Faroese ballad "Harra Pætur og Elinborg" (FR 69-72), drawn by Bárður Jákupsson.
