Hello @Yann,

I'm not very clear on what was wrong with that mass DR. We only needed one of the 50-ish files nominated in that batch, and another batch of about 100 variations of that very logo were speedyed. I am definitely not perfect, and would appreciate feedback for future noms.Alachuckthebuck (talk) 15:43, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

This logo is in the public domain, so tagging it as copyright violation is wrong. Now if there are several useless copies, a regular deletion request can be created with examples. Yann (talk) 18:01, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

It was deleted as it was a personal photo not being used on your user page.I didn't do the actual deletion, but I was the one who tagged it.

As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.

you had referred to somthing being in the ajax title section your common.js, and I mis-interpreted your message. I thought there was a comment about the buttons there.

Hello, I think it must be an error on your part. Compare the photos carefully, this is a photo that I just took and not a copyright violation. Look at my history, you will see that it was taken at the same time as a whole series of other photos on this beach. I went there on purpose by canoe to take all these photos. Compare the waves carefully for example and you will see that they are not the same photos even if the angle used seems to have been the same. There is no metadata on the image, so I cannot confirm the image is yours. I would recommend sending an email to VRT and clearing it up with them.

Batch upload of glyphs (IBM Plex)

Hi!

Do you know a technique where it is possible to upload several thousand files at once? I used UploadWizard, but it takes time, as you can only upload 500 files per upload process.

Based on a quick search and my (limited) knowledge of mass file movement, your options are an upload bot or a server-side upload.

I didn't create the DR. someone uploaded a batch of historical logos for a football club, and I used VFC to mass tag them under F1 (source). In that I missed 1 as pd-old, and this one under TOO. Sorry for the mistake.

Charlie Kirk Photo

Why did you request a deletion request when it is me in the photo I took with Charlie Kirk today? I just cropped myself out so it could be on him. That photo is literally Charlie Kurk and not me. Shoot for the Stars (talk) 22:13, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

We need permission from Charlie Kurk, regardless of if you removed yourself. We need proof of him consenting for his image to be released under a compatible licence, preferably in the form of an email sent to VRT.

Photos taken of a person require that persons consent and proof of that consent should be emailed to VRT. I hope that clears things up.

Hi, F10 is not intended to be used for photographs of notable people like Charlie Kirk, and the photograph is in use at English Wikipedia. Additionally, this has EXIF data indicating it was taken from a cellular phone camera and it has not been previously published. In the United States, you don't need permission to take or publish a photograph of a person in a public space. I can add {{Personality rights}} to it though.
