Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Den 1 september inleds 2021 års svenska deltävling av Wiki Loves Monuments, där det skulle vara väldigt roligt om du ville vara med och delta! Målet med Wiki Loves Monuments är att fotografera svenska kulturarvsmonument. De kategorier som ingår är byggnadsminnen, fornminnen, K-märkta fartyg och arbetslivsmuseer – och du är välkommen att bidra med bilder hela september.

Flickr2Commons

I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool. To use it, you just need to go to the url and authorize it (where it says "authorise first").--A1Cafel (talk) 03:36, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi! I used the Flickr upload functionality in the upload wizard. Is that somehow discouraged? I like flickr2commons, but it doesn’t check for duplicates. Belteshassar (talk) 03:58, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Om du har varit ute i världen och rest kan du även se om resorna sammanfaller med övriga internationella deltävlingar, och i så fall vara med och tävla även där. Även om fortsatt försiktighet är att rekommendera går det bra att ge sig ut på fotosafari och fotografera naturen i ditt närområde – eller varför inte damma av fotoalbumen och tävla med bilder du har tagit tidigare?

@Wutsje: I am not in any way affiliated with the Skoll foundation or Roger Martin. I merely transferred a freely licensed photo of a notable individual from Flickr. Agree the file name and description they put on Flickr were a bit salesy so they file could be moved and the description edited. Belteshassar (talk) 06:13, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

It was indeed the original, rather spammy file description that triggered me to conclude this image was intended as an advertisement. Your fix fixed that. Thanks. Wutsje 13:48, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Hi Belteshassar. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request, omitting the year, month, and day. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people.   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ _{please ping or talk to me}🇺🇦 07:56, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: Thank you for the reminder. I was trying to follow the instructions to dispute a speedy deletion put on my file. I was stressed by the impending deletion and botched it. Nytt för i år är att vi utöver bästa foto även belönar fotograferande av tidigare ofotograferade objekt samt bästa bildserie om minst tio fotografier av samma objekt. Missing category within the category you chose to create

Category:US Embassy Sweden - Ukraine One-Year Event

You created this category a year ago, but there is no "Ukraine" category. So, all these photos were hidden to persons looking through Ukraine categories.

Why did you not add the category "Ukraine"- when the word exists within the category's name? -- Ooligan (talk) 05:46, 4 March 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for correcting this oversight. It’s a wiki after all, so we can all help make files more discoverable.

It’s been a while so your guess is as good as mine, but I suspect I was uncertain of what category to add so I left it out with the intention of coming back later. As is often the case, "later" never arrived. Belteshassar (talk) 06:19, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
