You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Bonjour Gilles, je vois que vous avez remplacé ma photo du Lion sur le wikipedia français. J'entends vos arguments mais je ne partage pas votre point de vue concernant la luminosité. Je pourrais à mon tour supprimer la votre en disant que la mienne est plus ancienne et trouver des arguments en sa faveur (couleurs plus intéressantes car fin de journée, pattes visibles, meilleure expression etc...) Bonjour ! J'ai principalement remplacé l'image car il s'agissait d'un animal en captivité. Les animaux en captivité ne sont souvent pas représentatifs d'espèces sauvages (différence d'âge maximal et donc d'apparence, cicatrices de combats, évolution différente de certains attributs selon les espèces, etc.). De plus, le milieu dans lequel des animaux en captivité sont photographiés est souvent artificiel (surtout dans les zoos) et ne correspond pas à celui dans lequel un animal en liberté vit. Le lion étant en plus une espèce aujourd'hui classée vulnérable, je trouvais d'autant plus dommage que l'image principale représentait un animal en captivité. Certains ne se documentent que sur Wikipédia et une espèce sauvage ne devrait à mon avis pas avoir comme illustration principale un animal en captivité (sauf si aucune autre image ne devait exister). C'est pour ces raisons (ainsi que la lumière sur les yeux) que j'ai remplacé l'ancienne image principale.

Une photographie d'un lion en captivité dans un zoo peut toutefois être utile à certains égards, c'est pourquoi j'ai conservé votre photo sur l'article en la plaçant dans la section zoo.

Je n'ai pas spécialement prêté attention à qui était l'auteur de l'ancienne photographie dans la mesure où cet élément n'était pour moi pas déterminant pour remplacer l'image. J'entends toutefois que vous auriez préféré en discuter en amont. À l'avenir si je devais remplacer une autre image je regarderai qui est l'auteur et si je constate que c'est vous je vous contacterai.

When this picture was taken, the subject was in fact taking pictures of small birds perched on branches and the birds didn't seem to see the subject. But the main goal of that day was to search for a wolf pack that had been seen multiple times in the area during the previous weeks. So I think the scope is correct on the "taking pictures" matter. But if needed I can change the "camouflage clothing" bit to "a ghillie suit" as it is more precise on the type of clothing. So do you think "Wildlife photographer wearing a ghillie suit, taking pictures" would be better than "Wildlife photographer wearing camouflage clothing, taking pictures" ? -- Giles Laurent (talk) 22:08, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
