[edit] RI 195
Unfortunately, I've never seen a photo of a shield or a real shield. --SPUI 04:40, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] County
The ones without county names are for general use, like in browse boxes - see en:County Road 427A (Florida) for an example. As 427 goes in multiple counties, putting one or the other is wrong. --SPUI 03:57, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
As for "county road", that's the term used in Florida, so that's why I put the category there. --SPUI 03:58, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

yeah, i used Roadgeek 2005 Series EW; it matched the pictures of clearview exactly. Atanamir 04:08, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dupage County Route shields
Hi, just informing you that you're Dupage County Route shields have been nominated for deletion here since they have been superseded by shields of the type Image:DuPage County Route 1 IL.svg/Lokal_Profil 16:28, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Interstate shields
I've seen your changes to the shields. I unfortunately have to revert all of the new Business shields, as they do not fit in with the MUTCD (the numbers are way too big). And when you were making the new templates, why didn't you upload under the same name as the old ones? V60 干什么? · VContribs 22:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- The MUTCD overrules pictures. According to that, the numbers are smaller. You've been through this with SPUI before; you don't want to go through this with me and the rest of the Commons community. V60 干什么? · VContribs 23:57, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not revert again. I've checked the MUTCD carefully, and some other users (not present at moment) as well as myself have concluded that your numbers are way too big. V60 干什么? · VContribs 19:20, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Returning with new facts here, the customary MUTCD is misleading. That's why SPUI and I used the metric MUTCD to design the shields off of. V60 干什么? · VContribs 21:35, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your image under attack
Hi there, just wanted to give you a heads-up that your image Image:Handicapped Accessible sign.svg and some others containing the same symbol, all from the MUTCD, are currently under a deletion debate. Since you have contributed a large number of images based on the MUTCD, I'm hoping that you could help me out in convincing these folks that the images are not copyrighted. I appreciate your help...thanks! lensovet 06:54, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] S glyph in RoadGeek fonts
I noticed you replaced some of my PDF->SVG road sign conversions with actual to-spec road signs that you created yourself. Nice work; it really is too bad they don't spec colours for RGB as Pantone->RGB is hardly an exact science. Anyway, my question is if you know why the "S" glyph in the Series C font is broken. If you look on the inner curve of the lower half of the S, near the centreline, there is a clear 'unsmoothness' to the curve. It's the only glyph and only font where I've seen this problem - but if I remember correctly this appeared even when I extracted the images from the govt's PDF, so perhaps the RoadGeek fonts are true to the real spec - or maybe they were generated from the same PDF and show a processing error.
In any case, this aberration is visible at native size in Image:Stop sign MUTCD.svg, and if you squint, even at smaller sizes. IMO should be corrected regardless of the 'spec', since this is clearly (I hope?! Not from the USA) not in real STOP signs.
Please respond on my w:User:Ktims wikipedia talk page. --Ktims 06:42, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image categories
Hi. Re [1] your removing categories from images-- please explain if you think it is necessary to do that. Images should be in categories; if an image is in a wrong category please put it in a correct one. If there is some sort of problem with an image, please say what the problem is, or nominate the image for deletion. Thanks. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 15:27, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arkansas state-name interstate shields
Can you just upload those shields.
Image:I-30 (AR).svg Image:I-430 (AR).svg Image:I-530 (AR).svg Image:I-630 (AR).svg Image:I-40 (AR).svg Image:I-440 (AR).svg Image:I-540 (AR).svg Image:I-55 (AR).svg Image:I-555 (AR).svg
We don't now have state document entry for Arkansas, so the ARDOT assumes Arkansas still uses normal state name shields. Same with Kansas. Kansas don't have access to state document either, but I think they use sunflower tag, which workers brought them copy, and contractors, do make war over state-name interstate and neutral shields over KTA, and KDOT. I think ARDOT still use state-name interstate shields, and I like you to make those shields for us.--OC15 19:35, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Anyways time zone UT-4 where is it?You mean Easter time, anyways what state you live in, and how old are you. This gets me a picture of what time you are available, because I live in California Pacific time, and also, this tells me the latest time I came post message, because people works, and they have school homework, and they have to sleep. There is no way people can be on Wiki-24-7, and average people can only spend up to 3 hours a day, because alot of them go to work, and they only go on Wiki at work breaks when they come home at lunch at lunchbreaks least about 90 minutes.--OC15 21:35, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Lets just for the sake of time, would you do me a favor to upload this and this image on a file please. All I want you to do is upload this on image galaery by file name whatever name you want. Thanks for Arkansas shields.--Freewayguy 00:27, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Following the lack of consensus on your RfA, I have closed it as unsuccessful. This does not mean that you are forever barred from being an admin on Commons: someone with your experience and knowledge of this project is a great addition to the admin team. My bit of advice is to ponder on some of the criticism that was made in your RfA and seek to improve such referred areas. if you have any questions, we're here to help. [edit] Template:FHWA sign colors
I am a bit curious as to why you changed the values for the RGB equivalents for the Pantone colors specified on FWHA's website. I am curious as to where you got the RGB values you were using. The ones I got were from a document off of Pantone's website dictating the equivalent RGB values for Pantone colors, so I'm wondering why yours are different. I would presume what Pantone's document says is the final word, but perhaps there is a reason I am incorrect so I'd like to know why. RTCNCA (talk) 05:36, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Update: Let's see what the difference is: Brown - 469 New Old ; Yellow - 116 New Old ; Red - 187 New Old ; Green - 342 New Old ; Blue - 294 New Old ; and Orange - 152 New Old .
- Looking at these more carefully I think that except for red the results are identical, and I do think the "new" red does look better than the "old" one but I'm still curious where the values came from. RTCNCA (talk) 05:53, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

The Wikiprojects say to use neutral shields until we find the proper specs. 75.47 IPs likes to use Google St view to spot the highway signs even Google St View is totally wrong. Can you answer me quickly?--SCFReeways 23:46, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
If you think the I-470 MD should be fix you can do so if you want. But Jeff say the small letters is accurate.--SCFReeways 23:48, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty much doing all types of shields that I see on InterstateGuide. I'm just giving some different names and such. But I don't think none of them should be deleted. --Ltljltlj (talk) 00:21, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- You did them the opposite way. The MUTCD PDF (M1-2) shows the state-brand shields except is BUS Interstate, they use C Sers in Green background rather than blue. The smaller number should be normal version, and bigger text should be the metric versions. Do you still make interstate signs or you no longer.--SCFReeways 00:10, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Wrong, English or Metric doesn't matter they use D, what does matter is whether or not the State Name is still present. They use the smaller numbers. -- KelleyCook (talk) 21:32, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
