User talk:AnRoCa
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Thanks for uploading File:Save Cambodia's Wildlife.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Save Cambodia's Wildlife.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

- Please refer to COM:OTRS#Licensing images: when do I contact OTRS? for more details. This file can be seen online at cambodiaswildlife.org and the content on that website is listed as "Copyright © 2018. Save Cambodia's Wildlife. All Rights Reserved". This means Commons cannot accept this as licensed without OTRS verification. If you are the original copyright holder, then you can use the "Interactive Release Generator" in COM:OTRS#Declaration of consent for all enquiries; however, if you just represent the SCW, then someone there needs to email the organization's explicit consent to OTRS for verification purposes. Without this verification, the file cannot be kept. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:15, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've replaced this template with {{No permission since}}. See the thread below for more details. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

- Based upon the discussion at en:User talk:AnRoCa#Save Cambodias Wildlife logo, I've changed the template to {{No permission since}}. This will give you at least 7 days to verify the copyright holders intent to release the file as licensed. If, by chance, the file is deleted after 7 days, don't panic and re-upload the file. Deleted files are not gone forever; they are only hidden from public view and can be easily restored as needed. Whoever sends in the email should receive a reply containing an OTRS ticket number. Tell them to keep a record of this number because it can be used to find out information about file's verification status. Once the email has been sent in, you can replace the "No permission since" template with {{OTRS pending}}. Just go to the file's page, click edit, delete
{{No permission since|month=March|day=28|year=2018}}
and add{{subst:OP}}
. This will give an additional 60 days for the file's licensing to be verified. After that, you just wait until an OTRS volunteer verifies the email. This may take some time since there are only so many volunteers, but someone will eventually get to it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:16, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, I verified the Ticket#2018032810001738 via email. -- AnRoCa (talk) 10:13, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- The email was verified by an OTRS volunteer named Taketa and the license was updated accordingly. It should be OK now. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:00, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Amazing, thanks again for your effort and support! -- AnRoCa (talk) 3.11, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
