Note related to this edit
The image IS superseded. Superseded is used for the following:
When a vector version supersedes a raster verison of a file, {{SupersededSVG}} is used.
When a PNG version supersedes a GIF or JPEG version of a file, {{SupersededPNG}} is used.
And when a better version of the file in the same format is uploaded, {{Superseded}} is used, with the text "A better looking version of this image is now available."
And the file that supersedes Image:Stop sign MUTCD.svg looks better. Yung6 17:46, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, but the one made by MagicImage does not conform to the MUTCD. It is best to keep them separate. (→zelzany - framed) 17:48, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- What do you mean "MUTCD"? As far as I know, it doesn't matter. Yung6 17:52, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Look here. In reality (that includes Commons), it matters a lot. The colors may be off, since they were Pantone colours originally. (→zelzany - framed) 17:55, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- But those look horrible! Yung6 17:59, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Too bad. What the MUTCD defines is what is used. (→zelzany - framed) 18:00, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Then to hell with the MUTCD! Yung6 18:01, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Stop making personal attacks. If there wasn't the MUTCD, all of our highway signs would look like crap. So if the stop sign was too red, it needs to be replaced...bad. (→zelzany - framed) 18:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- What is a personal attack, damn it?! Yung6 18:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you
![]() Thanks for your Vote (oppose) at my stopped RFA. Even if it is stopped, it was a nice experience for me and I learned from it. Perhaps I´ll try it again in a few month, and I would be happy if you would give your vote (best a support;)) again. Thank you again, __ ABF __ 12:15, 11 June 2007 (UTC) |

Image:483px-Edmond Hoyle.jpg
Hello Vishwin60. I added the wikipedia´s link of Edmond Hoyle´s image and the user name of the uploader of the image. I hope that being enough. Anyway, thanks for let me know about my mistakes. -- Ale Flashero 02:15, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you're gonna need more than that. In fact, you're supposed to upload the original image, not one that has a predefined resolution. The upload history needs to be present, as well as the original license. This is only for images coming from another Wikimedia project. (→zelzany - framed) 02:26, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Don't bite the newbies
The reason this user kept asking questions is because you didn't explain enough in your first reply. Go easy, eh? --pfctdayelise (说什么?) 07:14, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Pennsylvania Route 222 map.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |
