  • Большое спасибо! Теперь это оригинал подписи. А почему отражается только 6 килобайт)? Разрешение ведь огромное. --Vizu (talk) 18:51, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WB[edit]

Hi Sergey,

I saw your newly uploaded version of File:Ethnographic Museum, Cetinje.jpg. Thanks for the work, but what does the abbreviation WB mean?

Greetings, Gertjan R. (talk) 16:03, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

White Balance color correction --Sergey Rufanov (talk) 16:10, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you! Greetings, Gertjan R. (talk) 17:03, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not overwrite images with clearly inferior versions. The original version of File:Lincoln Central railway station MMB 17 153374.jpg showed the scene as it was, yours introduced a whole load of overexposure for no good reason, making it look nothing like reality. -mattbuck (Talk) 01:29, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sergey, I understand your fascination with the possibilities of color adjustments, but please clarify the reason to change the white balance settings in the pictures from Świniary, for exampleː File:Świniary (woj. świętokrzyskie, pow. buski) - kościół Św. Stanisława Biskupa; fot. 03.jpg. I hope that your explanation will help me to better prepare photos for editing in Wikipedia in the future. Thank you --Luxetowiec (talk) 19:56, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's one of requirements of Image guidelines (scroll to "Colors"). Original photo has cold colors - on earth there just can't be blue trees, blue leaves, blue human skin. If im overdosed - please edit or even revert it - "Be Bold" is one of main Wikipedia principes. So it's tottaly fine. :) There can be my mistake. We all there just trying to create great enciclopedia without using corporative principe "it's only mine, and don't even think about changing it!". :) --Sergey Rufanov (talk) 14:33, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

On the contrary, it happens often that the trees and the faces are blue or even red, depending on your time of the day, climate, season, lighting, photographic equipment, photographic style, etc. In the world there is no totalitarian rules governing color. Color is something incredibly diverse, rich, subtle and perceptible only partially as an impression. That day the sky was not white and the wood of the church was not like soap. Your correction is exaggerated and indelicate both in terms of photographic technique, as well as in the psychological sense, since it undermines my impressions and memories of that day ... Even so I leave your versions, but please, in the future do not make that kind of changes, OK? :) --Luxetowiec (talk) 15:26, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok :) --Sergey Rufanov (talk) 23:26, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
