Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Cuidado en las fuentes e identificación de retratos[edit]

Hola, en las últimas semanas ha subido una cantidad considerable de retratos entre los cuales figuran varios a los que no indica otra fuente más que su propio nombre de usuario, procediendo éstos de páginas digitales de museos o archivos electrónicos. El inconveniente de ello es que dificulta la categorización, el llenado de datos de la ficha de obra de arte y principalmente la correcta identificación de los retratados, por lo que respecta a esto último y suponiendo que lo hace de buena fe, le indico que ha cargado las siguientes imágenes realizando una identificación equivocada de los modelos:

File:Theresia-1761.png tampoco es Teresa de Sajonia sino Anna Naryshkina tal como figura en este archivo: File:Anna Naryshkina by Schmidt.jpg
File:Mathilde-1780.png no es Matilda de Este sino Teresa de Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel como aparece acá: File:Therese Natalie of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, princess-abbess of Gandersheim.jpg
File:Mathilde-1754.png repite el caso anterior y es una copia de File:Ziesenis (circle) Theres Natalia von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.jpg

Eso sin contar File:The childs of louis xv.png y las miniaturas: File:Therese-1773.png, File:Federike-1778.png, File:Georg Karl-1779.png, File:Charlotte-1769.png, File:Luise-1776.png subidos para agruparlos en Category:The Childrens of Charles II of Mecklemburg-Strelitz y que ya estan corregidos.

Es cierto que muchos retratos estan mal identidficados por los propios museos, pero es recomendable mantener el nombre que aparece en las fuentes y colocar las palabras "supuesto", "presunto" y otras similares para indicar que se tienen dudas justificadas al respecto. Saludos

Prosigo con lo anterior: ¿Con que criterios realiza la identificacion de los personajes en los retratos? A File:Ritratto di nobile fanciulla - Galleria Palatina.png la identifica como Maria Josefa de Baviera cuando por la moda se le puede datar entre finales de 1720 e inicios de 1730 y ella recién nace en 1739 además de no contar con ningún parecido físico con la aludida. Hace unos días creo la categoria Mathilde d'Este-Modène con imágenes sacadas de la pagina de FANTASÍA histórica https://carrington.fandom.com/wiki/Matilde_d%27Este y que en realidad se trataban de retratos de Teresa de Brunswick como luego le hice notar, ahora volvió a llenar la categoría con nuevos retratos de tres mujeres desconocidas y sin ningún parecido entre sí, no contando este personaje con imágenes en la red con las cuales poder comparar las otras. Lo mismo sucede con Louise de Maisonblanche, de la que no se encuentran imágenes y usted fácilmente se saca de la manga dos retratos sin dar razón de qué lo lleva a pensar que sean los de esa persona.
