- Support - Amazing sight. I'm impressed that you went to such a remote, inhospitable place. Did it smell terrible from the sulfur? I've also read that it can be dangerous to go to this part of Ethiopia (for example, see voy:Danakil Depression#Stay safe) - is that largely obsolete information? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:41, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - I actually just updated that section since I posted my previous remark; it doesn't seem like the travel advisories are obsolete. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:14, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi IK: yes there is "rotten egg" smell (I think, earlier times even a gas mask was necessary), and thanks for updating the "Stay safe" section (I'm planning to write a Russian WV article). In fact, only guided group tour is allowed there, accompanied by local guides and some soldiers, so actually with Common sense no need to feel unsafe. There were many tourists from Europe, USA, China etc. --A.Savin 09:57, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- It would be great if you could add that information to the en.voy article. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:59, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

- Comment Fascinating image, but it's not actually in focus is it? Charles (talk) 10:21, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- This I cannot follow -- the focus is on the yellow formation (+ some more) --A.Savin 12:39, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
