Pan-African HSR Map

[edit]

Can you (Abs616) please make the following changes to Africa HSR 2063 (1).svg :-

Make the image a bit smaller so that it fits on an A4 page when printed.
Change the light colour yellow for a darker colour say orange so that it is visible on a Black & White print.
Vary the thickness of the railway lines according to the gauge.
: Standard gauge (1435mm) Wide
: Cape gauge (1067mm) Medium
: Metre gauge (1000mm) Narrow
: Dual gauge a mixture of widths.
Ghana is now building a Standard gauge line northwards towards Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, but this is not shown. About 1000km.
Cameroon is now building a Standard gauge iron ore line 580km eastwards from Kribi towards Mbalam and Nabeba (Congo), but the HS line uses the metre gauge line through Yaoundé.
Guinea is now building a Standard gauge iron ore line 650km eastwards from Matagong port towards Simandou. A short branch is needed to link with the 1000mm gauge at Conakry.

The amended map could be useful for the "Africa Rail 2024" conference on 25 June 2024 and 26 June 2024. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MountVic127 (talk • contribs) 02:32, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
