Screenshot of ChatGPT[edit]
Hi there! I see that you've uploaded a screenshot of OpenAI's ChatGPT website at File:ChatGPT.png, and tagged it as being your own work. Are you a representative of OpenAI, or otherwise involved in the ChatGPT project? If not, you should know that screenshots are generally subject to the copyright of the work (software, art, etc.) that they depict—the person who takes a screenshot often has little or no creative input in the image, and so doesn't have much of a copyright interest in it.
Please take a look at the information at Commons:Screenshots, and update the image's licensing information to state what permission OpenAI has granted for this screenshot (or if it comes under an exception such as the threshold of originality). If we don't have any permission, then unfortunately the image will need to be removed. You can request this yourself if necessary—see "Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed?" under the welcome message higher up this page.
I'm sorry to be a downer, so let me finish by saying thank you for contributing to Wikimedia Commons. I hope you stick around and enjoy being a member of this community! -- Perey (talk) 11:48, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
File:ChatGPT.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
