Beste Arch, Wat vind ik dat erg, dat je vertrokken bent op de Nederlandse Wikipedia. Ik heb altijd met plezier naar je mooie foto's gekeken. Ook ik heb soms moeite met het feit dat je nooit enige waardering krijgt, maar dat iedereen wel over je heen valt als je een nieuw lemma maakt of een afwijkende mening hebt. Het is misschien niet aan mij, maar ik wil je toch bedanken voor al het werk en alle tijd die je in Wikipedia hebt gestoken. Het ga je goed en misschien kruipt het bloed waar het niet gaan kan en kom je over een tijdje weer terug:-) Ilonamay (talk) 13:55, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hoi Ilonamay dat vind ik nu uiterst symphatiek om te lezen :-) Maar ik ben niet over één nacht ijs gegaaan, daar gingen drie wikibreaks aan vooraf, en afgelopen maand veel denkwerk. Ik kan niet meer terug, want heb (voor de zekerheid) m'n wachtwoord gewijzigd in een niet te onthouden combinatie van cijfers en letters, daarna snel uitgelogd. Ik heb m'n account dus écht om zeep geholpen zodat ik niet in de verleiding kan komen weer in te loggen. Ik blijft hier voorlopig nog aktief, ook foto's zullen er nog wel komen. Tja, de "vrije" nl-wiki wordt steeds minder vrij. Er spelen daar toch echt vreemde kwesties die op anderstalige Wiki's niet eens bestaan. Ik zal hier nog wel een tijdje aanwezig zijn, jij uiteraard ook de beste wensen voor 2012 :-) --Arch (talk) 04:27, 4 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Wapen gemeente Huizen[edit]

Beste Arch, ziet er leuk uit zo'n 3D versie van het gemeentewapen van de gemeente Huizen, maar zo komt deze nergens voor in Huizen. Graag zou ik het originele wapen terug willen zien. Daarbij is het beeldmerk van de gemeente Huizen onlangs (na raadsbesluit) aangepast, zoals je kan zien op: http://www.huizen.nl. Beste 82.136.225.34, dat het wapen nergens voor zou komen in Huizen is niet waar. Ieder ontwerp is zelfs mogelijk, zolang het aan de beschrijving voldoet van de Hoge Raad van Adel en dat doet deze. De beschrijving luidt: "zijnde van keel, waarop een melkvrouw van goud". De gemeenteraad heeft hierin geen vinger in de pap, het logo (blauw op een witte achtergond) voldoet niet aan de beschrijving. Uiteraard mag iedere gemeente een modern logo/beeldmerk gebruiken, maar dat staat los van het officiele wapen. Los daarvan zijn beeldmerken/logo's auteurrechtelijk beschermd. Wiki Loves Monuments NL[edit]

Beste Arch,

Alle winnende foto's van Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 zijn ondertussen gedrukt als kalenders.

Wikimedia Nederland stelt er hier 100 van beschikbaar voor alle uploaders van de afbeeldingen. Geef op de bijgevoegde link je naam en adres en we sturen je kosteloos een exemplaar toe, als dank voor je deelname! Let op: op = op!! Bestel hier één kalender per adres.

Ook dit jaar zal er in september weer een Nederlandse Wiki Loves Monuments plaatsvinden, als onderdeel van de internationale wedstrijd. Meer informatie vind je tegen die tijd op http://www.wikilovesmonuments.nl/.
Ook zoeken wij nog vrijwilligers die het leuk vinden om mee te helpen met het organiseren van de landelijke wedstrijd of van locale evenementen (een "Wiki takes..." in je eigen woonplaats dus!). Meer informatie daarover vind je op de wiki van Wikimedia Nederland.
