Hi Juta, I already sent the permission of the museum to OTRS system. Regards, --ProtoplasmaKid (talk) 21:19, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

OK, I tagged the image now with {{OTRS pending}} - see here. Next time try to do this yourself pls. :) --JuTa 21:29, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

question about cancelling the image

Hello! I would like to know why my picture Hermitage Plaza is cancelled? It's our work with our partners and we have a licence that I indicated already. We have send the message to permission commons mail and didn't recieve any answer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karlson-san (talk • contribs) 2013-05-31T14:00:04‎ (UTC)

Hi, I've now unteleted the file and set the template {{OTRS pending}} - see here, which will pevent deletion for a minimum of 30 days. Next time you sending an Email to the OTRS team pls try to set the template {{OTRS pending}} yourself. regards. --JuTa 14:24, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

question about cancelling the image

Hello JuTa. I don´t understand why do you want to remove my image pruebadeyodo.jpg. It`s a image povided by Ceibal to Wikimedia Commons in 2011- I´m a new user, plese don´t remove the image I`ve uploaded two days ago. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Melodygar (talk • contribs) 2013-05-31T22:55:38‎ (UTC)

Hi, the main problem is that there is no license template on the decscription page - a list of them ou find at Commons:copyright tags. But at the bottom of the source pag there is a note: Plan Ceibal. Creative Commons. Reconocimiento - No comercial - Compartir bajo misma licencia., which makes the image currently unueable for commons, because any image on commons has to be even commercially reusable. But you might ask the copyright holder to release it under a commons compatible license: He has to send an email to the commons support team in this case, see commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 06:19, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

It is perfectly OK. As he sent agreement for many pictures I just asked him to put OTRS template himself. It points to proper agreements. Polimerek (talk) 23:10, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Ah, OK thanks. But that realy confused me and might confuse others as well. regards --JuTa 06:09, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

File:Bottom of St. Mathew's Church Steps.tif

Hi,

I'm the Wikipedian in Residence at The New Art Gallery Walsall. Your recently deleted File:Bottom of St. Mathew's Church Steps.tif, which satisfies PD-old-100. If you will kindly restore it, I shall ensure it is tagged correctly. Andy Mabbett (talk) 12:02, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

OK, restored and problem tag renewed. If you have the name of the painter and a correct approx. year of creation pls. correct that too. PS: have a look at the categories, they are partly not-existetnt. regards --JuTa 13:29, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Licensing for font image

Hi JuTa, I've added File:Sample Tuladha Jejeg.png and File:Sample Adjisaka.png to commons, but they don't have licensing yet. I have searched the article licensing by subject, but they gave no information about font images. Both of the font used in the image are free to download from each respective site. What license should I give? Alteaven (talk) 01:18, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I would recommend {{PD-text}} in this case. Thess are simple text samples. But even fonts can be copyrigthed. If they are, you cannot use these images on commons, or the copyight holders have to send releasing emails to the commons support team, see Commons:OTRS. A recommanded license is {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. And please link to the place where you downloaded the fonts in the source field of the description pages. regards --JuTa 06:28, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
There, is that right? Alteaven (talk) 09:53, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi, according [1] File:Sample Tuladha Jejeg.png is licensed under the Open font license. I found a template for that: {{Open Font}} and modified the description page accordingly.
The other image File:Sample Adjisaka.png seems to be coprighted, the google translation of http://hanacaraka.fateback.com/disclaimer.htm tells me that it is not allowed i.e. to use this font on any computer connected to the internet; the is a copyright note © CopyRight 2004 Design by Teguh Budi Sayoga gsayoga@yahoo.com Purwokerto at the bottom of the page as well. I will tag this image as {{No permission}}. You can try to ask the copyight holder for a release. If he agrees to send a releasing mail to Commons:OTRS, replac this tag with {{OTRS pending}}. regards --JuTa 13:59, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Terribly sorry, it seems I've put the wrong link. It supposed to be http://www.adjisaka.com/, and I already changed it. The page seems to give it's copyright statement in Javanese, I'll try to ask my relative for the translation ASAP. Also, the download button (there written "ngunduh") directly connects with the file on 4shared, without giving initial terms of use as of Hanacaraka. Alteaven (talk) 16:15, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Yep, the page contains no mention of license as far as I can translate. Does this means it's public domain? Alteaven (talk) 11:02, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
No, it means its copyright protected. --JuTa 11:04, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Bah, I guess I'll have to email him later. Thank you JuTa. Alteaven (talk)

Repin (talk) 16:08, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Ahh, I see. I removed that problem tag now, but added {{License review}}. I dont't realy understand the page and an expiernced commons user and native speaker should cross-check this. regards. --JuTa 18:34, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Question

Coul You help me, because I am a new member of Wikipedia? I added recently 3 photos: Fritz Brügel (I have this photo from page www.dasrotewien.at and I know that the author of this photo is Peter Lhozky), Februar-Ballade (this picture comes from page http://books.google.pl/books/about/Februar_Ballade.html?id=ylcPAQAAIAAJ&redir_esc=y and ther is no information about author) and Die Arbeiter von Wien (this phote comes from page http://www.fdj.de/BSEITEE.html and you can't also find information about author of picture etc.). Which copyright tag is appropriate for these photos? --PEVF (talk) 17:13, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Where is the category?

Hi JuTa, I've added pictures for Buginese script (Example: File:Buginese Ka.png) in an unused category "Buginese script" in the Upload Wizard. I went to commons and searched "Buginese script", but it doesn't show up. I want to put a link for it in the Buginese script article. Alteaven (talk) 11:59, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Its not exiting yet. You have to create it yourself. Find fitting parent directories and put that into the category page. --JuTa 12:04, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
The fitting parent directory would be Category:Writing systems, how to create the new category after that? Alteaven (talk) 12:32, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Edit it like you do here. --JuTa 12:33, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
I don't understand, when I click Edit on the top of the page it only shows various name for "Category:Writing systems" and cannot be scrolled further down. Alteaven (talk) 12:42, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Edit the new category and enter [[Category:Writing systems]]. regards. --JuTa 12:44, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for being so thick-headed, but is there a guide regarding this matter? I'll try to follow it, thank you Alteaven (talk) 14:04, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
I now did it for you - see here. PS: Commons:Categories might help you in the future. --JuTa 18:25, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
That was fast, thank you so much JuTa! Alteaven (talk) 22:30, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi JuTa! I see that you have tagged my files etc. Basically, I didn't know which checkboxes were the right ones.

I created the files. However, I based it on elements from the Norwegian Civil Defence. And the graphical design and idea, of course, belongs to the Norwegian Civil Defence. As distinctions from all around the world are present on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranks_and_insignia_of_NATO_armies_officers, I presume the main problem here is for me to understand what licenses and copyrights I tag the images as, and not that there are actual copyright issues with the images.

Could you please indicate what the correct copyright notice would be in a case like this?

Best regards, --Vbakke (talk) 16:45, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi, according Commons:Copyright tags#Norway {{PD-NorwayGov}} might fit. But I'm not sure about this. You better ask on Commons:Village pump/Copyright again for help. --JuTa 18:42, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
That's the copyright notice that has been used on the other military distinctions. I just didn't know how to apply them.
I have now removed the {{Remove this line and insert a license instead}}, and applied {{PD-NorwayGov}} instead. However, there is still a big warning: This media file does not have sufficient information on its copyright status.....
Is that because an admin has to delete it, or is it something else I have to do? --Vbakke (talk) 20:12, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
I removed the problem tag now on the images ou already corrected. But you forgot some to do so. Please do them as well and remove the first line with {{no license|... too. regards. --JuTa 20:20, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Man... you're just too quick... ;) I didn't expect you to respond before I managed to do them all... :) Should be altered on all of them now. Cheers! --Vbakke (talk) 20:36, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Excuse me? Please be a bit more careful with your mass tagging. Thank you, Multichill (talk) 19:41, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Are you sure that {{GPL}} is correct in this case? Its not software, its an animated gif. This license IMHO does not apply here. --JuTa 19:43, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

licenses

I uploaded 2 pics from this site they provide the license (cc) by-nc-sa-3.0. Can I tag {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} to file like this. Thanks.--Cheers! (talk) 03:39, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

No, the correct tag is {{Cc-by-nc-sa-3.0}} which leds to a speedy deletion. Noncommercial and nonderivative restrictions are not permitted at Commons. --Denniss (talk) 04:44, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Starfish 2.png

Hello JuTa, the image File:Starfish 02.png you have deleted earlier was created using an image taken from the commons itself. If you are an admin of commons, can you please restore that image by giving proper license. I dont know clearly about the licence to be used when uploading an image created using an file taken from the commons itself. can you please help me. --Abin jv (talk) 05:25, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Sorry you didn't named the source image, so i cannot find it to determine the license. If you find or remember the source file pls. nam it here and I will have a look. regards. --JuTa 07:22, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
No need to undelete, we already have File:Starfish 02 (paulshaffner) cropped.jpg --Denniss (talk) 09:12, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi JuTa. When I put the template Commons:category in the lontara script article (particularly in the Indonesian article), it links to a single picture that tittles lontara. How to redirect it into the gallery "Buginese Script" which you kindly made the other day :)? Alteaven (talk) 07:51, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

You mean like this? --JuTa 08:03, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Yes, exactly! It seems I left the bar sign, no wonder it didn't work. Thank you! Alteaven (talk) 09:57, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello. I apologize that I am not so good in Wiki. However, all the images I upload get deleted by you. For example: I own a building. I take a photo of the building. I upload the photo. You delete it and you say that I could not prove that I own the copyright. Another example. I own a painting. I publish an image of this painting on wiki. You delete it and you say that I do not own the copyright. Another example. My friend takes a photo of a me. I upload the photo. You delete the photo and you say that I did not prove that I own a copyright. What should I do? Thanks for your help. I'm not sure about which images you talking about. Can you name them please? A list of your upload you find here. regards. --JuTa 17:49, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
This one, for example:
22:24, 27 April 2013 Topjur01 (talk | contribs) uploaded "File:Han Yajuan. Fashion Ensembe. 2010..png" (User created page with UploadWizard) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Topjur01 (talk • contribs) 2013-05-22T09:07:15‎ (UTC)
Hi, there was just no license template used on the description page. See Commons:Licensing a list of possible licenses ou can find at Commons:Copyright tags. Every image on commons needs a valid licenense template, otherwise they will be deleted. A recommended license is {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. Feel free to reupload it with a valid license. But this one does not realy look like self created or painted. I would recommand that you verify your ownership through our support team - see Commons:OTRS. If you do so please include the template {{OTRS pending}} to the description page, this will prevent deletion for minimum 30 days. regards --JuTa 19:49, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi, unfortunately I do not understand you. I reuploaded this file now. I did so here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Chinese-han-yajuan-FashionEnsemble.jpg I was not asked to give licence so I could not use as you suggested: {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. However, when I was asked if I agree with a recommended licencing I agreed. Hope that is fine. You also say that "this one does not really look like self created". Well how can I prove to you that it is self created? Do you wish me to take a photo of me standing in front of the painting? Would that help? I can do that and I can email you such a photo. Do you have an email address where I can email it?

However, it seems ridiculous to me that I have to prove that each photo is my own work without anybody claiming that it is his or her work. Will I need to prove each photo this way to you? Topjur01 (talk) 22:25, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Well, I will now trust your words. But somebody else could nominate it for deletion or tag it with {{No permission since}} because it can be found in the internet - compare here. So I assume you are the artist Han Yajuan. To be on a save site you should email the commons support team, not me, and verify that you are the artist. For details see Commons:OTRS. That is to protect your rights as artist as well, because we have hundrets of images each day just copied from the internet and often declared as own work of the uploaders. In the most cases these a just copyright violations which we have to prevent. regards. --JuTa 23:50, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
PS: When I look to your other uploads and what you declared as own work, you are a chinese artist probably living in Slovenia and have allready personally met Pope John Paul II and Bill Clinton. Impressive. --JuTa 00:03, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

FoP Mexico

The question of whether a place requiring a fee for admission is a public place is unanswered. Falls FoP hier zutrifft wäre ich inzwischen mehr für ein {{PD-because|covered by [[COM:FOP#Mexico|Freedom of pamorama in Mexico]]}} {{FoP-Mexico}} oder ähnliches. Gruß --JuTa 14:20, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Ja, som meinte ich. Denn FOP Stellt keine Lizenz dar. Grüße nach de :-)--Steinsplitter (talk) 14:50, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Watschenkonzert

Was habe ich falsch gemacht?

Hi JuTa, I wanted only to vectorize some images and I didn't bother with copyright. But now the copyright is set. My work include: to , to , to and I am ready to continue. Soon I will show list of uploadable files on my Commons page (it is poor yet). I am amazed by InkScape and soon will use it to vectorize Commons images, mainly flags. Please teach me how to show that raster image is vectorized, or mark it yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hosmich (talk • contribs) 2013-06-07T08:42:40‎ (UTC)

2 Fragen

Hallo JuTa,

--PigeonIP (talk) 16:44, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
