Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Deletion already? And i have only just joined WIKI!

[edit]

I hope i am on the correct page for this ( as the layout is confusing; however I am rather dismayed as newbie on this site to see files for deletion! Really; already surely not!? The files ( on sexual subjects) have been edited, to ensure whilst explicit in content ( as it does deal with human sexuality(.. that they never the less, portray human body as it is. For example; I removed audio from the video to reduce noises, and added medically concise descriptions to add credibility to the subject. Whilst the male body in particular is always controversial I cannot in any way see any offence to be caused by the very brief, well produced, carefully considered works. I note also existing other users videos are left on permanently; many of which I find myself much more offensive, ( some very extreme subjects also!). The little videos of which by the way are the only sexual subjects to be out on site by me anyway. A limited few. Are portraying natural processes common to most normal human beings; is that wrong? Also I object to the attempted claim over even suggesting they are somehow pornography.. I find this quite insulting actually! It seems almost discriminatory in my opinion that just a few videos, and well designed images to go alongside; of which, by the way, already have page viewing figures, and requests, are somehow to already be potentially deleted in mass due to one opinion! How can we understand sexual function if everything is fig leaved? How in 21st century can people learn about bodies if some people are not brave enough to show the most natural processes as they really are? Real bodies, real people, situations, as I note that the site already includes. It is NOT pornographic to show nature as it works, in true honest form, nor is it intended to be for that purpose! Look at general sex education videos these days and you will see a lot more explicit stuff than on these short videos, believe me!

So this message to all administrators from already dissappointed newcomer to site; a site which claims to be for everyone to contribute... In a sort if pseudo democratic manner . Please think again before considering deleting my half dozen files ! As it is in my opinion totally without foundation, need, and almost seems like one person grudge ( maybe?)..against another? Whilst you may ( that one person at least anyway) not want my carefully filmed works on your site ( whilst keeping much more questionable sexual content I believe is, in meantime, barely legal). I ask you to think again to keep these few files on complete . They are well within the remit of educational content. They are placed in section indicating adult nature (commons).. and they are edited to the subject description. They are well filmed, and were reviewed before placing on site. Let people have access to them permanently; as there is obviously a need for them to add to your collection. Finally, once more, I STRONGLY OBJECT to the videos and photos to being seen as porn... That I find deeply insulting.I am in fact a quite decent human being; and object to the suggestion I have somehow put dreadful pornography on your site ( or added to it maybe?).. I suppose there is a complaints procedure? And even admin. Can be subject to scrutiny? Or is that too much to expect? Longlinbs109 (talk) 01:05, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome. Please make your arguments on Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Longlinbs109.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 01:52, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
COM:PORN is a stock shortcut that means “low quality redundant sexual content”. I go through many, many bad photographs and videos of sex, nudity, penises and the like so I try to be quick and easily understood by deleting admins. I’m not trying to accuse you of obscenity or something here. You’re probably acting in good faith but your content does not add anything particularly new or better quality-wise to a large variety of similar files. Disruptive edits

[edit]

Hello, I feel this is somewhat obvious but this edit: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_Longlinbs109&diff=677716865&oldid=677625979 is extremely disruptive. Not only did you not use the standard formatting (new comments are always at the bottom), but you also posted a huge wall of text consisting of near-identical complaints that had already been addressed, because you didn’t like the answer. This is w:wp:bludgeoning. If you do this again you will be reported. Dronebogus (talk) 20:41, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if I did not enter my report as ideally required; however you must try and understand that as outsider on your site, the way of entering text is NOT easy to work out. If they has used a more menu based windows type layout, whereby you use icon to register complaints etc.. then would be a lot quicker. I have no idea why exactly commons uses such an old style encoding nethod. As for putting a lot of text; I was lead to understand that I was to out my text in that other section ( because it had not been in correct part! Finally, despite your remarks, I re-entered my complaint again simply understanding I had to ! NIT because I did not like the answer; that is a deflamtilory statement, and NOT why I have so firmly reoeated my concerns! Simply to repeat my concerns, for exactly the reason occurring here; because of misunderstanding. And worries that ONE viewpoint may override the others! I find your suggestion that i said same things again very unnecessary and ask you to ewithdraw the remarks! If you personally are desparately trying to get me off this site; which that remark sugfest you may be, then that is for you to think about. But even adnin have rules on what they can and cannot do or disputes. And I know there is a rule of etiquette generally required if everyone on site ( including staff).

Longlinbs109 (talk) 22:28, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dear sir, may i now remind YOU that potentially accusing user of "bludgeoning" on ste is considered by your own Commons rules ( not my words) "uncivil' and to be AVOIDED; You may of course withdraw the remarks? As they are now officially registered on this text; You may like to comment to your superiors? Longlinbs109 (talk) 22:37, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop writing textwalls with random AllCaps and state your complaint in a clear, calm and succinct manner. Also, I’m not sure you are really getting the spirit of w:wp:uncivil when you’ve made multiple baseless accusations directed at me. Also, I’m not staff or an admin, and admins are not staff. You are completely misunderstanding the power structure here. Dronebogus (talk) 11:50, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lets call a truce; I am despite the current situation, quite reasonable.. maybe you are after all doing a good job; but please understand that it is for outsider to commons difficult to know where to put comments ( of any kind).. which I realise is not your fault; its the way the system is designed. But please also try and realise that when a newbie tries that site they find it quite daunting with all the technicality required to put new info on. Now, I am prepared to move on from the debate; that is if you are also? After all theres more serious things to worry about in the world these days! All I ask is that the few items I tried to put on wiki are given fare judgement by all; and I feel you will probably do that. Thank you
