User talk:Crunkier~commonswiki
Hi, WikiCommons is a repository for images licensed by the copyright owner under a free license (GFDL, CC or similar). The photos you just uploaded seem to be neither, in fact one can easily get the impression that you have stolen them from somewhere. Regardsless, they will probably be deleted quickly. In the future, only upload your own photos or photos from people who allow them being used freely. Thuresson 04:12, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
- Furthermore, note that it is illegal to claim that photos are licensed under the GFDL when they are not. dbenbenn | talk 01:41, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
Album covers[edit]
Please do not upload any further CD covers or your account will be blocked. Album covers are almost always unfree and not fit for Commons. Please see Commons:Licensing. --Lumijaguaari (моє обговорення) 16:24, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which information may be missing. Thank you.

Copyright violations[edit]
Hello Crunkier~commonswiki,
You have uploaded several images that are copyright violations and you have done so despite our requests not to do so, and despite our instructions. If you do not stop uploading pictures that are not free, your account will be blocked. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on the Wikimedia Commons. Please do leave me a message if you have further questions. Yuval Y § Chat § 22:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Crunkier. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Crunkier~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
