Copyright status: File:Gasa Airport Terminal from North.jpg[edit]
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Gasa Airport Terminal from North.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Hi, Do not change this without a consensus. US tags are not more important, so it is much better to keep everything in alphabetical order. Thanks, Yann (talk) 16:20, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
- COM:Licensing: Wikimedia Commons only accepts media
- that are explicitly freely licensed, or
- that are in the public domain in at least the United States and in the source country of the work.

- @Yann: Really not more important? Esiymbro (talk) 02:29, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Hello[edit]
May I ask what tool did you use to produce such good maps? I want to learn to make them. Thank you. Sgnpkd (talk) 18:20, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Sgnpkd: Thanks! All my maps can be done in Inkscape, Photoshop, or whatever photo editing software you prefer. For base maps I use blank topographic maps or SVG maps found here. Creating new ones would probably need specialized GIS softwares so I haven't tried that yet. Then the work is mainly the time-consuming process of labelling every city's location on the new map, adding texts and lines and so on. Once you are familiar with the tool, making the map will be quite straightforward :) Esiymbro (talk) 14:43, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Translating the map[edit]
Hi, I am a Vietnamese Wikipedia contributer. I'd like to borrow this map of yours to translate it into Vietnamese. The article featuring it would be the Vietnamese Wikipedia page of Han Dynasty. May I know if it's possible, and whether you have SVG base map (without words) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vutuan202 (talk • contribs) 08:25, 13 February 2022 (UTC) --Vutuan202 (talk) 08:25, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- Of course, and thanks for your interest! I have just uploaded a SVG version here File:Jian'an Commanderies.svg. The file has some errors related to text placement that I am unable to solve right now, but that shouldn't be a problem here since you would be replacing the labels anyway.
