First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
  • Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Alcune richieste[edit]

Sto facendo un censimento delle utenze a "vocazione locale" su wikipedia e vedo che carichi immagini di Manfredonia e modifichi voci in quella zona.

Posso chiederti due cose se hai tempo?

  • l prime foto in [1], che sono dei particolari di statue, hanno dei nomi pesanti pieni di numeri. Che ne dici se lo sposto a un altro nome più fruibile alla lettura, più "discorsivo"? C'è un motivo, un valore per quei numeri?

Un'idea da copiare[edit]

Ciao, in qusti giorni ti lascio un messaggio su wikidata su quei tool immagini ma adesso sto andando di talk in talk perché sto organizzando it:WikiGita_all'abbazia_di_San_Savino e nel tuo caso non mi aspetto che tu passi ma ho scoperto che è abbastanza semplice da fare e sto lasciando l'idea in giro.

Io mi sono incaponito dalla Cina a cercare un sito originale e ho scelto un periodo anche di vacanza quindi meno adatto che metà wikipediani sono fuori e chi è qua da turista non lo sa subito. Ma la cosa più semplice è prendere un sito di WLM in zona e proporre nella pagina dei raduni una gita nel mese di settembre. Devi solo impostare una tabella.

Il mese di Wiki Loves monument è settembre e un sito WLM è l'ideale. Puoi contattare i responsabili a WMI. A Manfredonia c'è un lago, potete andare in gruppo un WE Oppure a "Vico del Gargano". Basta che crei la pagina dl raduno e la linki al bar ma se vuoi ti aiuto a trovare altri partecipanti.

Se lo vuoi fare ti aiuto a trovare tutti i wikipediani foggiani che conosco e sono ancora attivi. Così impari a conoscerli, hai i loro contatti provati e quando vuoi organizzare altro in zona non parti da zero. Non voglio sembrar insistente ma davvero, è più facile di come si crede:i wikipediani dovrebbero farlo più spesso

puoi contattare it:Categoria:Utenti_foggiani. Ma davvero la cosa più semplice è secondo me fare la bozza del raduno e poi iniziare a segnalarla a quegli utenti e poi a atri aggiustandola in corso d'opera. La cosa importante è la data. Devi solo imparare la sintassi della tabella calendario proponendo qualche opzione con più WE. Ho notato che gli utenti pugliesi in generale sono poco integrati penso che sia una bella cosa che vi vediate. Tutta la dorsale adriatica ha un certo ritardo, se vai in it:Wikipedia:Raduni sono quasi tutti al Nord o sull'area tirrenica. Con User:Marica Massaro ho spinto per it:Wikipedia:Raduni/WikiGita ad Avezzano colmando l'Abruzzo e visto che sono bloccato magari puoi chiedere a lei un aiutino sul codice.--Alexmar983 (talk) 11:26, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
