Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

Anche quest’anno torna Wiki Loves Monuments: da oggi al 30 settembre puoi partecipare caricando le tue foto per contribuire a illustrare il patrimonio culturale italiano: vai sul sito wikilovesmonuments.it e scopri come fare!

Oltre ai 20.000 monumenti già in concorso, quest’anno si aggiungono più di 60.000 edifici religiosi, tema centrale di quest’edizione. Prendi la tua macchina fotografica, o il tuo smartphone, e individua i monumenti in concorso tramite la nuova web-app – disponibile sia da mobile che desktop – app.wikilovesmonuments.it, da cui potrai anche caricare direttamente i tuoi scatti. Sono ammesse anche foto scattate prima del concorso, purché siano inedite.

A livello nazionale verranno premiate le dieci migliori fotografie: cinque per gli edifici religiosi e cinque per le altre categorie di monumenti; queste immagini parteciperanno anche alla fase internazionale del concorso. Non sono ammesse immagini con watermark o cornici, né fotografie eccessivamente elaborate in postproduzione. Привіт! Сподіваємося, що у Вас та Ваших рідних усе максимально добре. Нагадуємо, що конкурс триває до 31 жовтня. За перший тиждень конкурсу в українській частині конкурсу завантажено понад 4000 фото, взяли участь майже 90 учасників.

Важливо! Через російське вторгнення в Україну також довелося змінити умови: тільки роботи зняті до 30 червня 2023 року включно будуть прийматися на конкурс. Єдиний виняток — спецномінація «Інтер'єри» можна подавати світлини без обмежень за датою створення.

У конкурсі є серйозне обмеження за часом створення фото- та відеоматерілів — тільки роботи зняті до 30 червня 2023 року включно приймаються. Однак, є виняток — спецномінація «Інтер'єри», де можна подавати файли, які зроблені й під час конкурсу. L'edizione 2023 di Wiki Loves Monuments si è conclusa.

Lo scorso anno non avevamo segnalato l'inizio del concorso perché abbiamo avuto delle metriche di adesione più alte rispetto agli ultimi anni, quindi incentivare il caricamento sarebbe stato controproducente per i partecipanti più occasionali.

Anche quest'anno l'adesione è stata alta (anzi nettamente più alta), probabilmente perché c'erano molte foto di chiese (la novità di quest'anno) negli archivi dei partecipanti storici e per questo non è stato inviato un messaggio durante settembre, mantenendo la strategia di massimizzare la promozione durante gli anni di minore partecipazione.

I finalisti son stati nel frattempo selezionati e annunciati. Qui troverete il riepiligo con i vincitori. Continuate a seguire i nostri canali social per ulteriori informazioni riguardanti la cerimonia di premiazione, che avrà luogo a Piombino nei prossimi mesi. Tutti i semifinalisti sono cordialmente invitati a partecipare.

Greetings from the Wiki Loves Folklore International Team! Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.

How can I Contribute?

The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February 2024 through 31 March 2024. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. It’s simple: grab a camera, record an image, video or audio under the folklore theme and start uploading or Click on Upload Now Icon which is available on right side of Wiki Loves Folklore 2024. Wikimedia science competition

Gentilissimo, ho trovato il suo contatto sulla pagina del concorso wikimedia commons. A dicembre abbiamo caricato delle foto per il concorso e abbiamo recentemento scoperto che due di queste foto si sono classificate al secondo e al terzo posto tra i finalisti nella categoria People in Science. Purtroppo non abbiamo ricevuto nessun avviso in merito, abbiamo visto tardi i risultati e non abbiamo quindi partecipato alla cerimonia di premiazione del 22 marzo a Bologna, è un vero peccato perché per i ragazzi sarebbe stato molto emozionante. C'è qualche possibilità di avere un certificato o dei gadget per i ragazzi che si sono classificati tra i finalisti? Un'altra domanda: anche i finalisti parteciperanno alla fase internazionale del concorso? Grazie in anticipo per la informazioni che potrà darmi. Поки зовсім відсутні світлини з АР Крим та Севастополя. Дуже мало робіт із Луганської (1 фото), Миколаївської (2), Донецької (35), Херсонської (42). Менше 100 робіт із Хмельницької (55), Кіровоградської (63), Черкаської (65), Рівненської (70), Одеської (73) та Запорізької (96) областей. Можливо, у Вас є світлини пам'яток з цих регіонів? Або Ви знаєте людей чи організації, до яких можна звернутися, щоб завантажили?

Також нагадуємо, що цього року є спеціальні номінації, де можна завантажувати і ті об'єкти, які не охороняються офіційно — «Єврейська спадщина» (включаючи караїмські), «Німецька спадщина» та «Польська спадщина». Якщо у Вас є інформація про пам'ятки, які не включені у списки ще, звертайтеся до оргкомітету wlm@wikimedia.org.ua чи на сторінку обговорення.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2024 in Toscana - Premiazione

L'edizione 2024 di Wiki Loves Monuments si concluderà a breve con la cerimonia regionale.

Per questa edizione abbiamo fatto poca promozione perché il riscontro è stato molto forte fin dai primi giorni (la Toscana rappresentava circa il 20-25% del totale nazionale).

I semifinalisti, come ogni edizione, sono invitati alla cerimonia di premiazione che quest'anno si terrà dalle 16:00 alle 18:30 di sabato 29 marzo p.v. a Massa (MS) a Villa Cuturi, ospiti dell'amministrazione comunale. Qui il volantino
