Eclairs

Hello, why is the background of your eclair picture blacked out? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89clair#/media/File:0_Frameries_-_Boulangerie-p%C3%A2tisserie_Godefroid_(8).JPG — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2606:6000:F0D1:2700:ECC6:D95C:D43E:CAA4 (talk) 03:34, 17 December 2017 (UTC)

Misidentified photograph File:0 Geranium sylvaticum.JPG

Dear Jean-Pol GRANDMONT/Archive 12,
Your photograph above (leftmost image in the gallery) shows typical Geranium pratense, not Geranium sylvaticum. The main differences of G. pratense vs. G. sylvaticum are these: G. pratense has larger, more blue and less reddish/liliac flowers without a clearly distinct white zone in the middle and usually much narrower leaf lobes. I corrected the ID of your photograph, but please note that it should also be renamed to avoid any confusion.
With best regards --Robert Flogaus-Faust (talk) 15:12, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

Notification about possible deletion

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Cordiales salutations

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
15 stars out of a possible 10! These are the most photogenic pictures of my ancestral castles I have found to date. I can't wait to use them in my book. I would have emailed you to let you know, but have no idea what language you're speaking. Heather Urban (talk) 00:47, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Sadly one of your FP nominations was demoted to 'not featured' due to a sock double vote. However, you are welcome to re-nominated if you like. The nom is: Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:0 Serres Royales de Laeken (1).jpg. --Cart (talk) 18:26, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Monuments France 2019

Bonjour,

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
  • To perform file name swaps.
  • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:35, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

wa.wikipedia

Hi! You have uploaded some files to wa.wikipedia with an unfree license. Perhaps you could relicense them so we can export them to Commons? --MGA73 (talk) 20:36, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello again! I moved one of your files here: File:Nameur JPG W1.jpg. It was GFDL so that was okay to move. --MGA73 (talk) 19:17, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
@Jean-Pol GRANDMONT: I don't know if you have seen this message so I try again. Is it possible that you would relicense your uploads on wa.wikipedia to a license that is usable on Commons? If yes then I can move them here for you and you can check and fix information if needed. --MGA73 (talk) 13:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi dear Wikipedian,

I just see your message. You can move the files concerned with my actual licence

Exploitation de vos photos

Bonjour M. Grandmont,
