Yes, but i have no clue how to 'tag' something. I am going to assume I just edit it into the page some where, because i can not find

Milkdrop is currently open source, to quote http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=51a21a88eb8e7724f58cdaede7ee1932&threadid=214971 it has been "Released under BSD template license".

Yep, edit the page. To "tag" an image just means to put a template on it representing its license. Templates are indicated by {{curly brackets}}.
So to tag screenshots of programs released under the BSD, copy this into the image description page:
{{free screenshot|license={{BSD}}}}

Firstly, I have re-uploaded the image in the above link in the link below. I did so in order to create a more descriptive name for the image. I just want to make sure I did that correctly.

Secondly, Milkdrop is an open source program, released under the "BSD template license". Me and my wife created the presets the above two screenshots where created from, and we also took the screen shots.

I'm pretty sure this allows me to upload them several times over licence wise. But I don't understand the legal speak well enough to make sure I have licensed everything correctly.

Hopefully when I get enough screenshots uploaded, I can expand the milkdrop article stub in Wikipedia

OK, you got that pretty much perfect. Congratulations! :) I'll just them a small tweak, and then they're right.
Here are some tips for getting used to "wikisyntax":
  • To use an image in a page, just type this:
[[Image:Example.jpg|thumb|right|Caption goes here]]
Caption goes here
That gives this -->
  • To link to an image's page, rather than insert the image, write this:
[[:Image:Example.jpg]]
Note the leading colon (:)! That gives this --> Image:Example.jpg
  • To link to a page on Wikipedia while you're on the Commons, insert a "w:" prefix like this:
[[w:MilkDrop]]
That gives this --> w:MilkDrop
  • If you're on Wikipedia and you want to link to a Commons page, the prefix is "commons:". But note that you don't have to do this for images. Images at the Commons are automatically accessible at all Wikimedia projects, so you don't need to put any special prefix.
  • To "sign your posts" on talk pages (like this one or the Village pump), type "~~~~" at the end of your message. It will automatically insert a link to your user page and a timestamp.
  • To test out all these features, you can practice in the Commons:Sandbox.
  • When replying to a message, generally don't copy it to three different pages. :) Responding on the other person's talk page is right, but you don't have to copy their message across.

Sorry for the bandwith waste about the 3 places thing. I didn't do it in that mannor because I was scared off by the weird html or css {| align="center" style="width:80%; background-color:#F8F8F8; border:2px solid #E0E0E0; padding:5px;" thing.

But now that seems to have changed.
