File:Pilar Martínez López (21 de septiembre de 2011).jpeg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

català | English | español | euskara | galego | +/−

Dear Asqueladd,

As every year, Wiki Loves Earth in Spain, an international photographic contest about natural heritage sites in the Spanish territory, started on May 1st. On behalf of the Wikipedia community and Wikimedia España (WM-ES), and as a participant in former editions of the event, we'd like to encourage you to participate in the 2018 edition. We do know that you've been keen on contributing your work to the free knowledge in the past and therefore believe that you'll be glad to help us again to document biodiversity.

If you have comments, questions or suggestions about the contest, they are more than welcome. You can leave them here. You can review the rules of the contest in it official site (Spanish).

We look forward to your free images!

We take also the opportunity to invite you to Wiki Loves 2017 awards ceremony, which will take place on June 16th at 17:00 in the Medialab-Prado auditorium, in Madrid. Open entry until filled to capacity.

Sincerely,

The team of the Wiki Loves Earth edition in Spain

Wikidata[edit]

Hola Asqueladd:

Ayer estuve añadiendo y sincronizando categorías y su información en Wikidata, eliminado en las categorías de Commons las plantillas de información, coordenadas e item en COAM y BIC, con lo que me gustaría preguntarte si ves bien que elimine toda la información redundante en wikidata o que deje sólo las plantillas de información {{Es|INFORMACIÓN}}

Atentamente MONUMENTA Discusión 10:33, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

MONUMENTA Discusión 22:01, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
MONUMENTA Discusión 22:10, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
MONUMENTA Discusión 22:51, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Smultio (discusión) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smultio (talk • contribs) 18:45, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

I did not even touch this file and you are already accusing me of doing something here? What's wrong with you, actually? This is a very hostile behaviour from you and you are not even giving any argument for it. Impru20 (talk) 16:33, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You don't own anything, either. This is not the first time you accuse me of acting like if I owned something, then acting yourself like if you were the only rightful to dictaminate what should be done. That's outright bad faith and entirely hostile and unneeded. I created these categories under those names, so yes, they have those names, but that doesn't mean they can't have any other or that there should be one category encompassing other categories/images. You have not even tried to discuss this or even proposed any solution. Rather, you have openly engaged in a very hostile behaviour repeteadly. I must assume that as acceptable?
I'm equally surprised that some users upload separate parliamentary diagrams that in the end up entirely unused for their unconsistency and "loneliness", and I don't go into a rant imposing my will into others seeking for those to be deleted or in some other form manipulated to fit my views. Just for noting. Further, after I posted in your talk page noting on your hostile behaviour, you put a "warning" message in my talk page? Ok. Take this as a warning too. Impru20 (talk) 16:40, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't own any content or category, and I haven't said anything of what you claim I intend. On the other hand, you have tried to persistently encompass that image you uploaded (oh, who is acting like an image owner here) into that category without giving any other argument other than it must be there, despite there being other categories in which it could be fit.
Yes, the category name is somewhat generic (though much less generic than, let's say, this or this), yet (somehow) you yourself didn't saw a need in four years for a similar generic category that could encompass the image (because it is not that the image was uploaded yesterday. Confusion doesn't exist here). Further, the image is clearly intended for use in Spanish, so I can't think how more useful can this category be for this file when compared to other with much more generic names.
Finally, you may like it more or less that a specific category is created for a specific set of images sharing common attributes, but at least it is a reason (such attributes, btw, are not that they are my own work; in fact, some files for other Spanish cities have been uploaded by other people. What they share is the common formatting, naming style and color schemes that help easier and straightforward use in the English Wikipedia). Indeed, there are lots of such categories throughout Wikipedia for a variety of topics, dedicated to specific sets of images. So far, however, you have not provided any reason for it, even after I inquired you about it, other than this file must be there. Instead, you have resorted to openly attacking and accusing me of ownership behaviour, and even trying to "warn" me when it was me who brought to your attention your own behaviour in the first place. Who is acting with hostility?
I'm looking forward to see that this discussion is brought to a more polite tone. Impru20 (talk) 17:18, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
What you are doing now is just to ignore what I have just said and insult. There is no "obscure interest", and you don't need to mock me as you are doing. This is entirely out of place. I did create a subcategory with a descriptive name, which is the one you are trying now to depict as the most generic category in the world and to take ownership yourself. Impru20 (talk) 17:41, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
  • To perform file name swaps.
  • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:35, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
