About File:President Benigno Aquino III presidential portrait.jpg

[edit]

Why do you insist on using the 362 × 420 version over the 480 × 433 one? Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 09:35, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I fail to see why the old version has better quality than the one I upload. (Compare them side by side: 362 × 420 and 480 × 433)--the old version also seems to be slightly altered, resulting in a stretched picture. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 09:41, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. As you see, the picture of the President is from the official website of the Presidential Museum & Library, why won't we just use the original image from the website of the Presidential Museum & Library which is the 362 × 420 version? Please check out the website. (http://malacanang.gov.ph/presidents/fifth-republic/benigno-aquino-iii/) Thank you. Mezus360 07:40, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't a matter of on which website it is originally posted on. The one I uploaded is of superior quality to the one on the official site--it is still the same picture, but uncropped and unstretched. Therefore this version of the picture is to be used. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 12:11, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest that you must first explain and discuss your edits on this picture. Explain it on the [talk page] of the picture with other users aside from me and know their opinions or suggestions. But if you don't feel like discussing it, fine, I won't force you.. Mezus360 09:17, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, that wouldn't be necessary since there are no other editors involved. Second of all, why don't you explain why you would prefer a smaller resolution over a bigger one? Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:10, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That won't be necessary as well because I did not do anything, you are the one who started it by editing the picture. This wouldn't happen if you just accepted the "original" picture as it is. You are the one who believed and noticed that your work is more beautiful and has better superior quality. For me, lets just use the original image as it is, which came from the presidential museum and library. Why do we even need to edit it and put some glitters on it if the picture is just fine?? Listen, I don't want to fight about this but if you believe that your picture is much better, have it your way. I am only telling my opinion which I see is a fact.. Thank you. Mezus360 05:00, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My work? Seriously? It's the same picture. "Glitter"? What glitter? Are you for real? Anyways, I'd like to point out that your personal opinion as a commons user is not considered as fact. Higher resolution=superior image. (unless blown-up). Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 08:45, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
