It would be a copyvio on enwiki as well, but they have fair use, which would most likely cover it so it's less og a problem there. I chose to tag it rather than delete it myself, and I see that another admin shares the opinion that it's a copyvio and has deleted it. Most game manufacturers allow the use of screenshot under certain condition, but they retain copyright to all images from the game. The exception is that some games are relased under a free license, but this is not the case with Anno 1701, and very few games are PD. Cnyborg 01:33, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't wikimedia hosted mostly on US servers or is covered by US-law? If it is, the images can be used under "fair use" as well? Or has wikimedia to respect international laws?
