Dear @Atsirlin: , Sorry for answering this late (too busy this holiday season). Thank you very much for your message. It was a pleasure contributing to Wikivoyage banner competition and I was surprised to have scored so many points (I wasn't expecting this). I will continue contributing to wikicommons and look forward for new competitions. All the best. Avramescu Marius (talk) 20:48, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:Donegal - Donegal Castle - 20170319145009.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Mind if I replace your most Holycross recent image?

[edit]

Hi mate, I see you've replaced my AI-resolution-enhanced image of the old part of the Abbey with your own. I wasn't aware of the policy on AI-resolution increasing, so thank you. I was a bit unsure about that so I appreciate being made aware.

I do have the original non-enhanced image. I'm wondering if you would mind if I replaced your one with that? Either way I do think it's important to have a picture of the old original infirmary/guesthouse. Here's why I'd like to replace it:

  • My original image has a slightly higher resolution than yours
  • It's easier to see the stonework and the details on the signs in my one, as the light is less harsh
  • Less of the image is taken up by the driveway
  • This one is silly but - I am quite attached to this Abbey - my family is from this village and that Abbey was central to my grandmother's life

Thanks, let me know what you think :) Watermelon-lemon (talk) 10:10, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
