Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Deletion of File:Jharkhand Government Logo.svg

I have came to know that you have tagged a file named File:Jharkhand Government Logo.svg for a speedy deletion. But, can I know on what purpose you have tagged that one? If you have no correct reason, then you should remove the tag from that page. One thing to clear that this is my own work and not taken from anywhere else. I hope you understand. @INDV100 I saw this request, and interpreted it as a formal challenge to speedy deletion. Since the correct route is to challenge this on the file page using the grey challenge box I have done this one your behalf, creating Commons:Deletion requests/File:Jharkhand Government Logo.svg as a technical procedural nomination, one where you are free to comment, and one where you should comment.

Your question is, however, odd. The rationale was expressed clearly as a copyright violation, whcih is something you ought to have seen, read, and understood. Timtrent (talk) 06:32, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello, In regards to File:ডাঃ_শ্যামাপ্রসাদ_মুখার্জি_চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞান_ও_গবেষণা_প্রতিষ্ঠান.jpg - Was the building previously the name you're moving it from or has it always been the name you're moving it too ?, (Sorry I don't load the image up so don't know the current and proposed names) Thanks, –Davey2010^Talk 20:03, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

@Davey2010: Yes, it is known by the name that I have proposed to move. The current re-naming (i.e File:ডাঃ_শ্যামাপ্রসাদ_মুখার্জি_চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞান_ও_গবেষণা_প্রতিষ্ঠান.jpg) is cancelled. Also, if you open and zoom the File:Dr B C Roy Institute of Medical Science & Research, Kharagpur.jpg, you will notice that the re-name (ডাঃ শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখার্জি চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞান ও গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান or Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Institute of Medical Sciences & Research) has been removed from building wall.Run n Fly (talk) 13:57, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

Copyvio tagging

Please don't tag images for speedy deletion, such as File:Nadja Robiné ©Sebastian Kowski.jpg, where the uploader claims to be the subject and/or photographer, as pursuing COM:VRT is relatively likely to be fruitful. Speedy deletion is only for cases where the uploader obviously doesn't have the authorization to release the image under a free license. If it is unclear whether the uploader has such authorization, the correct tag to use is {{subst:npd}}, which gives them a week to fix the problem. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 20:36, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

RichardMontgomery1943.jpg is not copyrighted

Ok, so this title may be a bit "click-baity" or whatever, but the photo is not owned by VesselFinder. VesslFinder photos are uploaded by users irrespective of copyrights. The photo is used by many other news sources (such as here by the BBC:https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-kent-52918221, here by the Daily Mail:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/fb-8547195/What-SS-Montgomery-dangerous.html, here by Buisness Insider:https://www.businessinsider.de/international/london-ss-montgomery-story-doomsday-wreck-1400-tonnes-tnt-2019-10/, and here by The Mirror:https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/daredevil-casually-poses-photo-next-5858241) with little to no regard for who owns it. So, while there is a VERY small chance it still has copyright, it's not because it's from VesselFinder. Thebrakeman2 (talk) 10:52, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Deletion of MCD Logo

I have done the same thing the previous editors and others have done on multiple pages. They have uploaded the images through Wikipedia Commons. They have had theirs for years. Why haven't you taken any action with them? Would you like me to list them? And best to my knowledge "every government media present in the public domain can be reproduced for free and without any permission needed. You are wrong this image was taken from this site mobile.twitter.com/MMMOCL_Official/photo. It was cropped and edited and then the person who did it mentioned has his/her own work. @CptViraj and @Fitindia please also look at the conversation given in commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Administrators%27_noticeboard/User_problems#Debjyoti_Gorai and I have given some policy links for some images and the editor Jeff G said he doesn't know whether to delete it or keep it. I would like to retract the VCM image since it's private image and copyrighted. But the rest I would like to make a statement "that every government media present in the public domains can be reproduced for free and without any permission needed. They can be used in any manner but not in any derogatory or defamation sense and the author is acknowledged." I know since I work as an intern in govt publishing release department.
