Тим часом ви можете номінувати найкращі зі своїх світлин на «якісні» чи «вибрані» у Вікісховищі. Детальніше про це тут: «Вибираємо значущі, якісні, вибрані зображення». А також ілюструвати світлинами статті у Вікіпедії, де це буде доречно.

Також до 31 січня триває кампанії оцифрування документів про нерухому культурну спадщину «Вікіджерела люблять пам’ятки»: долучайтеся! Якщо Ви ще ніколи не редагували у Вікіджерелах, перегляньте відеоуроки за посиланням, можливо Вас зацікавить проєкт?

Russification of categories[edit]

Hi! You recently renamed Category:Homieĺ (in Belarusian) to Category:Gomel (in Russian). I failed to find any discussion about russification of this category, can you give me the link? Homoatrox (talk) 11:34, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We use here category names as in English Wikipedia. Please discuss renaming of corresponding articles in English Wikiepdia first. In the same case Category:Kyiv also long time was named Kiev according name in English Wikipedia despite official transliteration. Category names that have been in use for a long time or a lot of items, or where the naming policy is unspecific, are considered controversial. Renaming them without discussion is risky. Homoatrox (talk) 11:59, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

en:Gomel has a footnote that official transliteration is Homieĺ – that's unspecificity. Another reason is "a category name has been in use for a long time", that's a quotation from the renaming official guideline specifying which cases are controversial, and it's totally true for that category. Допоможіть, будь ласка, повернути мої фото до сторінок, які будуть видалені[edit]

Добрий день! Мені прийшло повідомлення, що частина моїх фото на сторінках Мар'ївка та Радомський буде видалена. Пишуть про "На цей момент на сторінці опису файлу вказано, хто створив похідний твір (світлину), але не вказано автора (авторів) оригінального твору, тому загальний ліцензійний статус файлу є нез’ясований. Якщо ви не є автором оригінального твору, зафіксованому на цьому зображенні (цій світлині), Вам необхідно вказати автора (авторів) та/або правовласника (правовласників)." Ці фото було зроблено в 50ті роки, автори невідомі, скоріш за все, вже давно померли, оригінали знаходяться у мене, я їх відсканувала і виклала ву вікіпедію.
