Incorrect categorization
[edit]Please don't add images to the Popular Science Monthly Illustrations Galleries if they are not part of the Wikisource:Popular Science Monthly Proofreading Project. If they are, then they must be identified by their volume and .djvu page numbers in a manner explained out on this page. Kindly remove the PSM categories from the images which don't belong there. — Ineuw 05:33, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Steatopygia
[edit]I don't think this includes artificial bustles, but if it does, then you need to add the category to categories such as Category:Bustles, not to individual images in the categories. Churchh (talk) 17:40, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Note to your revert of categorization
[edit]Hello, the Category:Anchi-piri is now a sub-category of Category:Women with face tattoos and thus there is no need to categorize a file in both categories. Just as a note.Torsch (talk) 21:42, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- "Anchi-piri" is a no English word. --Jesper7 (talk) 09:38, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
En Rejse I Rødkarenernes Land
[edit]Hi there. I had placed Category:En Rejse I Rødkarenernes Land into Category:Red Karen. Is there a specific need to put individual images from that category, such as you did with File:Roedkaren19tattoo.png, into Category:Red Karen, thus actually creating a COM:OVERCAT for just this one image? - Takeaway (talk) 19:46, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- "En Rejse I Rødkarenernes Land" is a book about a missionary in Red Karen (Karen-ni) State. The book has some important illustrations of the local culture. Illustrations As will be away among all the book's pages in Danish. Jesper7 (talk) 14:48, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- The book had before not been categorised at all under "Category:Red Karen" as it is now. When one opens the category for the book, one can immediately see which images are text, and which are photos and graphics. There is no need to categorise the images separately in both the actual category as well as in its parent category. COM:OVERCAT is very clear in this. - Takeaway (talk) 17:11, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Adolescent girl's clothing has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |
