Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.

Coats of arms

Both coats of arms are hundreds of years olds. Republishing by the Vatican on its homepage doesn't create a new copyright. Great Thing: "I've no idea of nothing. But the images must be deleted. But speedy." :-).--Liutprand-1977 (talk) 17:08, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Catagory:Umbrellas in art und Category:Umbrellas in heraldry

Hallo Gambo7 - ich danke dir für deine Arbeit am Project Heraldry. Bitte beachte bei der Kategorisierung, dass "... in heraldry" oder "... in art" oder "... in architecture" jeweils nur solche Bilder gehören die Wappen, Kunstwerke und Bauten zeigen. Standard-Elemente wie der "umbracalum" allein sind weder ein Wappen noch Kunstwerk oder Bauwerk. Und warum mussten die beiden Dateien umbenannt werden? Und warum musste ein Nummer in Klammern "(1) und (2)" sein? --maxxl2 - talk 16:22, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

Medal icons

Hello! Before you replace every medal icon there is: They are very widely used - Is this discussed? IMHO the new colors don't look better, besides at File:Bronze medal olympic.svg it makes the red ring nearly invisible (by the way, you made that file four times larger (and harder to read) by saving it with inkscape) --maix¿? 23:12, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

I think it's more important that the colors are recognizable and distinct from each other and look sort of good. You will never accurately reproduce the real colors, as they are metals, which are glowing which a computer display cannot. I think the previous colors do fit both criteria quite good. --maix¿? 19:26, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello Gambo, only a small pronounced critic, I must say the escutcheon looks indeed a bit something strange. Also a little bit in the original reference, but your version has intensified this, it is to much cambered in every way. Well you can make lines more curved with few clicks on Inkscape (and I don't even think that an escutcheon can be used to raise a copyvio issue, it's just a common shape), anyway the discussions were more about the emblem itself, especially the tiara, than the whole image. --Gambo7 (talk) 08:31, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Wenn du dir die Quasten und Schlaufen ansiehst, ist unschwer zu erkennen, dass dieser Stoff nur senkrecht wie hier vor dem Papst her getragen werden kann. Das beschreibt doch auch der Text: ... il drappo era attaccato ad una lunga asta dorata, incavata al posto dell’impugnatura e cimata di una piccola lancia metallica, da cui pendevano cordoni a fiocco d’oro.. Quasten und Schlaufen wurden von mir hinzugefügt, nur um es mehr "mittelaltlicher" zumachen; da Text sagt nichts darueber, drappo meint nur "Tuch".

So wie das jetzt da ist, ist das technisch/praktisch unmöglich, da ein Wimpel/Fahne mit Quasten an den Außenenden niemals "fliegen" kann, Das Seidentuch wird wegen des Gewichts der Quasten immer schlaff am Fahnenstock hängen und die Fahne nicht ihrer Aufgabe gerecht werden: das Emblem deutlich zu zeigen und zu sagen: "Hier kommt der Heilige Vater". Es ist geradezu die Aufgabe der Quasten, das Tuch vertikal zu straffen. Bitte zeige mir eine Abbildung einer horizontalen Fahne mit Quasten.
Zu der Zeit der Entstehung der VSRC wurde noch nicht zwischen "Vexillium" und "Gonfalone" unterschieden. Als Beleg aus der gleichen vatikanischen Quelle: La custodia del Vessillo di S.R.C. era affidata, tanto in tempo di pace che in tempo di guerra, ad un personaggio di alto rango, che assumeva pertanto la denominazione e la carica di "Vessillifero di Santa Romana Chiesa", detto anche Gonfaloniere della Chiesa. Ciao, come forse saprai quest'anno Wikimania, il raduno annuale delle comunità Wikimedia, si terrà a Esino Lario (Lecco) dal 22 al 28 giugno.

Come per le scorse edizioni dell'evento, anche per il 2016 l'associazione Wikimedia Italia intende rendere disponibili alcune borse di partecipazione.

Bandiera

Ciao l’immagine che hai postato della bandiera non è corretta. Nella sala del Quirinale come voluto dal presidente scalfaro nel 1995 è presente una bandiera molto diversa da quella messa da te (che stai semplicemente cercando di mettere il logo che trovi nel manuale di immagine). La bandiera è questa

Ti invito pertanto cortesemente a caricare un’immagine coerente e di dimensioni corrette oppure a ripristinare l’immagine precedente che avevi corretto con i colori giusti. Saluti --JN95 (talk) 09:04, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Ma per curiosità sei veramente un medico come dici? Li facevo più educati i medici laureati all’università di Bologna. Sul file di Bonaccini che ho caricato di pregherei di starne fuori in quanto ne sto discutendo con altri utenti senza bisogno che metti troppi avvisi. Se sei interessato leggi pure i messaggi che ci siamo scambiati. Detto questo tu non sei alcuna autorità, la bandiera che ti ho messo è stata ripresa davanti al palazzo della regione ed è una fonte. Tu non hai messo alcun link o altro riguardo alla modifica che hai fatto. Ti invito pertanto di nuovo ad essere più educato (e te lo aveva già detto anche l’amministratore L.) e a rispettare le regole di Wikipedia.--JN95 (talk) 09:43, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

e io ti invito nuovamente a non inventarti bandiere o loghi. Ripeto, tu non sei la regione emilia-romagna non puoi inventarti loghi a caso. Su questa non si può sindacare (a meno che non violi il copyright il logo). Dato che al momento la bandiera non è formalizzata per legge non si può fare altro che adottare i colori e le dimensioni del gonfalone con la bandiera usata nella sala del quirinale dal 1995 (che è quella che ti ho mandato in foto al link sopra). L'immagine di bonaccini era presente nel mio archivio con oltre 5000 immagini e come ho già spiegato potrei aver fatto un errore (il primo e sbagliare è umano). Visto che vedo che continui con un atteggiamento maleducato e poco consono allo spirito di wikipedia (e anche per un medico, ammesso che tu lo sia veramente), ti cito questo:
