- Hi there Jimfbleak, I believe this file should be in the public domain as the Crown Copyright on it has now expired, since they only last 50 years, and since it is clearly a photo taken by a member of the armed forces for the armed forces. Thanks Kai110ux (talk) 13:56, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
File:David James Nielson Planning Photo.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Familysearch and David James Nielson
[edit]I created an entry for David James Nielson at Familysearch. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/GGTM-X8Z Registration is free and you can backup all your images and documents there. You can also complete a family tree. His death record uses "26 Oct 1912" as his birthday, I don't know if yours is correct or the Familysearch one. You should also create a Findagrave entry for him and migrate the images there too. RAN (talk) 20:31, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hey there, I have already compiled an extensive family tree, the research of which allowed me to learn lots of information about David, some of which I had to omit from the Wikipedia article because providing a source was too difficult. I can confirm that David was born on the 12th of October 1912, as I have his birth certificate in my possession. Adding entries for him on Findagrave and Familysearch sounds like a good idea, and it’s something I will try to get around to doing. Thanks Kai110ux (talk) 20:52, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
