Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Wikimedia Commons does not accept fair use content. We do this because Commons is a shared media repository. Downstream wikis have different policies based on local laws. Uses that are acceptable under US law, for example, may not be acceptable in many other countries with more restrictive rules. In addition, fair use is not compatible with our aim as a collection of freely distributable media files. Therefore, Commons cannot legally rely on fair use provisions. Non-free content that may be used with reference to fair use may be uploaded locally if your project allows this.

Kategorizace

Zdravím. Zkus si, prosím, povšimnout, že kategorie ve wikiprojektech fungují trochu jinak než hashtagy v projektech jako Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, YouTube nebo Pinterest. Kategorie tvoří strukturu, v níž jsou témata navzájem provázaná a hierarchicky uspořádaná od nejobecnějšího k nejkonkrétnějšímu. Samozřejmě proto, aby každý obrázek a každé téma byly v této struktuře co nejpřesněji zařazeny. Tj. je-li v některé kategorii nepřehledně mnoho obrázků, videí či jiného obsahu, měl by být roztříděn do specifičtějších podkategorií. Z toho vyplývá, že pokud někdo kategorizuje nepřesně do příliš obecných kategorií, tyto kategorie tím spamuje, znepřehledňuje až zaplavuje a zároveň přidělává práci někomu, kdo to pak jednou bude muset třídit (anebo je ta kategorie nakonec tak zahlcená, že už se v tom nevyzná nikdy nikdo a co do ní spadne, je tam ztracené). A pokud fotku zařadíš do kategorie Poruby, pak je samozřejmě zbytečné řadit ji zároveň i do kategorie Ostrava a ještě do kategorie Czech Republic - tam přece už patří Poruba jako celek. Samozřejmě že pokud danému tématu dostatečně nerozumíš nebo zrovna nemáš čas prohledávat kategorizační strukturu, abys našel tu nejsprávnější kategorii, tak to za tebe někdo jistě rád udělá. Ovšem základem je vůbec si všimnout, že tu nějaký kategorizační systém je a jak funguje. Je to vlastně velmi jednoduchý a intuitivní princip, ale kdo je zvyklý na jiné typy projektů, může si nevšimnout, že ve wikiprojektech je ten princip trochu jiný. Stačí si pár kategorií prohlédnout, co v nich je, jak je to utříděné, kam je kategorie zařazená, a za pár minut by to člověk měl pochopit. Pak je možné si v případě zájmu přečíst více na stránce Commons:Categories. Ten princip je v zásadě ve všech wikiprojektech podobný, tady v Commons stejně jako na všech jazykových verzích Wikipedie. --ŠJů (talk) 02:32, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

Díky moc za feedback, upřímně vyplňování těch kategorií je dost otravné a kvůli tomu toho tu nedávám tolik kolik bych mohl.

Vzhledem k tomu, že postuju hlavně tramvaje, tak jaké kategorie a to druhé třídění mám dělat? Jestli to jde zpětně tak jedině dobře. Penguin9 (talk) 20:06, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

Ahoj, zpětně kategorizovat určitě lze. U tramvají se kategorizuje převážně podle typu a města, zbytek už je vedlejší a dodělají to ostatní. Podívej se na svoje poslední fotky, jaké kategorie jsem k nim přidal. MIGORMCZ (talk) 09:43, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
