I've been trying to draw something decent for two years now, but never could get it right. You simply nailed it. Thank you. Adelbrecht (talk) 19:34, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Vaakunakruunut
Hei, Miksi Suomen historiallisten maakuntien vaakunoiden päällä olevat kreivikuntien kruunut poikkeavat toisistaan, varsinkin muotojen, värien ja helmien värityksen suhteen? Samanlaista epätasaisuutta on myös herttuakuntien kruunuissa. --WPK (talk) 19:19, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
- No siitä minulla ei ole mitään hajua. En myöskään näe siitä olevan mitään haittaakaan. Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 10:25, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
--WPK (talk) 14:21, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Tokihan niistä voisi tehdä samanlaisia. Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 21:15, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Varsovan liiton tunnus
Parhain kiitos, että olet tehnyt svg-version Varsovan sopimusjärjestön tunnuksesta, file:Warsaw Pact Logo.svg. Lisääthän kuitenkin kommunistikauden vaakunat Bulgarian, Itä-Saksan ja Romanian lippuihin. Myös venäjänkieliset tekstit eli ympyrässä союз мира и социализма, sojuz mira i sotsializma (rauhan ja sosialismin liitto) ja alhaalla Варшавский договор, Varšavski dogovor (Varsovan sopimus) olisi muutettava isokirjaimisiksi, ks. file:Знак Варшавского договора.JPG. --WPK (talk) 21:09, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Arms of the Presidents of Finland
Thank you so much for the rendition you made of the Arms of President Relander-fantastic work, and a great help as regards the Armorial of the Presidents of Finland article.
I just wondered if you'd be able to make renditions for any of the remaining Presidents who had arms but whose arms are not pictured?
Warmest of thanks,
JWULTRABLIZZARD (talk) 20:49, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've already done most of them, need to upload them here soon. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 00:44, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Incredible work, Fenn-O-maniC. Thank you so much :-) I'm also trying to make articles regarding the arms of the Presidents of various countries-at the moment I'm working on the articles on the Presidents of South Africa and France-are you interested in helping out with these?
Yours,JWULTRABLIZZARD (talk) 21:45, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'd like to. I'll check out what is missing and try to make them. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 06:31, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
-I would be most grateful if you could, your work is superb. :) As regards the South African Presidents, I have put the (accurate; they're from the South African Bureau of Heraldry's online database) blazons in the text for two of them; but there are no images as yet for them.JWULTRABLIZZARD (talk) 09:46, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Very nice work indeed. However, Relander's CoA shows a small inaccuracy. The pennant in the crest should be the broad pennant of the President of Republic of Finland (in use 1920-1938). This was a forked pennant, tapering towards the fly (height at hoist 4 units, total width 16-20 units, height at fly 2 units, depth of indentation at fly 2 units. It was divided horizontally white over blue and contained the Finnish lion in a 4-unit wide red field at fly. (Reference for CoA: Matikkala & Brummer (eds.) Henkilö- ja sukuvaakunat Suomessa, SKS: Helsinki 2011, ISBN 978-952-222-283-1, illustration no. 194. Reference for the pennant: Sotaministeriön käskylehti 25/1920.) Oraivio (talk) 17:19, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- That isn't mentioned in the blazon which I used (in summary of the file). The blazon says it should be like it is now. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 17:41, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- The blazon on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armorial_of_the_Presidents_of_Finland is unsourced and thus unreliable. Heraldica Fennica, Espoo 1978, ISBN 951-35-1695-4, p. 68 gives the following (Swedish) blazon: "Sköld: I svart fält tre sädesax av guld. Edit warring
I see you've reverted many, many times at File:Royal_Crown_of_Finland.svg to retain the original version. I agree with Fry1989: WPK's edits are beneficial to the file quality/value and also minor enough to constitute as slight improvements, not an entirely new image. Please state your reasons to keep the old version instead of reverting again, and we'll discuss it. --Pitke (talk) 17:02, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Please delete the whole image then! Even blind can see which one looks better. But if this keep happening, go and delete it. I've got enough of this. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 19:12, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
I'll give you one more warning: stop edit warring and discuss the matter on the file talk. I haven't seen you give any explanation why you think the original version is superior to the new one, only reverting the file and demanding explanations from others. --Pitke (talk) 15:20, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- As I said, the original version looks a lot better than the new one. Example the colours are more smoother. And there is no need for it anyway. I'm not the one who is warring here. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 16:01, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Block for a week to cool down
You just filed a deletion request for "that crown file" because of edit warring (in which you have been part) and because you'd rather see the file deleted than see it modified in a way three others agree would be an improvement. This is both "pointy" and "owny".
In the file talk (after a promising start) you reverted back to the original tone of "my version looks better and you are stupid for not agreeing with me". This is not helpful or constructive in any way.
I have now blocked you for a week so that you can cool down. --Pitke (talk) 11:34, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- This is ridiculous... --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 14:13, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- What is ridiculous, is your ownership problem. You released your file freely to Commons, you do not own it. Fry1989 eh? 19:47, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- I thought we're done whit this but no, obviously you still want to continue. Now who is like a kid? --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 20:21, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't nominate my own file in a sordid attempt to exert control on something I freely licensed to Commons, including the ability of others to make alterations, and then say "You can ask anybody which one looks better and I'm pretty damn sure which is their opinion!". I guess the three who already gave their opinion don't count. Fry1989 eh? 04:19, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- Now there's almost as many supporting my opinion. But as I told you, I tried to imitate the style of ther heraldic crown in here, whit coloring and all. I made the file my own. But now WPK (again) is just making his improvoments. He just changed coloring to bit darker and added some different elements. Seriously, I can't see why do you like that version so much? I'm sure that if someone would do same to your files, you would be frustrated too. There wasn't any good reason for new version anyway. And now you're only one who's still wants continue this stupid dispute. There's new better version that almost everybody agrees whit. Let's use it. I've got enough headache because of this already. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 04:30, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

I have constructed a compromise between the two debated files, the technicalities of which I have explained in the relevant talk page. I notice that you are blocked, but since you are still an involved party, I hope you will be able to find yourself in this compromise. Lemmens, Tom (talk) 21:02, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

File:Coat of Arms of Gambia.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Presidents of the United States
Perhaps you could add the motto for the two Adams presidents? Your source hasn't added them to their depiction, but does mention them. In any case, great work on these. A few more and you've got the entire set in a consistent style. :) Lemmens, Tom (talk) 13:15, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Coat of arms of the Central African Federation
Perhaps a job for you: Some parts of that coat of arms are of bad quality. See the image at [1]. Several graphists drew excellent emblems of the en:Tuvan People's Republic, and only one is still missung: There is a variant of File:Emblem of the Tuvan People's Republic (1926-1930).svg having a different kind of wreath and a blue background [5][6] (left). I already tried to create that variant by myself, with my extremely limited abilities in vector graphics, by using the wreath of the laotian Coa.See de:Datei:Wappen Tuwa 1930.svg. But the result was not sufficient to use it here. BTW, File:Coat of Arms of South Africa (1932-2000).gif is one of the most used national CoA which is not SVG, and now the shield as well as one of the supporters do exist as SVG...--Antemister (talk) 21:54, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Pay attention to licensing
|
Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content: images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose.
File:Finland Greater Coat of Arms.svg seems to be free (or it would be proposed for deletion), but it was identified as having a wrong license. Usually, it is because a public domain image is tagged with a free license, or because the stated source or other information is not sufficient to prove the selected tag is correct. Please verify that you applied the correct license tag for this file. If you believe this file has the correct license, please explain why on the file discussion page.

File:Personal arms of user Fenn-O-maniC.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Need to Hire an Artist
I'm looking to hire artists to design vector coats of arms for coadb.com. I pay $1.75 USD per arms. That’s not much, but I purchase a huge +10,000 image clipart package (called Armorial Gold) for you to use, which makes the process much faster and easier. I currently have two artists who work for me, and they have earned several thousand dollars over the last 12 months. Please contact me coadb@mail.com if you are interested — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coadb1984 (talk • contribs) 15:21, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Lapin historiallisen maakunnan vaakuna
--S Group Coop (talk) 22:10, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- Kyse on ainoastaan tuosta Lapin läänille vahvistetusta vaakunasta. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 08:13, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
