Thanks for uploading File:Luis Herrero.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Hi!

Do you get these messages here? As I said, I'm new here so a lot of silly questions coming.

I asked Mika Heittola, who took the picture, to send this message:

"I am willing to publish this foto: luis_herrero.jpg under a free license"

to an email: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org

So, what's next - is the license still good as it is, or is there another code to copy/paste there

Luismikael (talk) 13:28, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just changed the "no license" tag to {{OTRS pending}}, this will prevent deletion for at least 30 days. Pls. be patient as the backlog on OTRS is normaly long. It could take weeks to proceed it. Mika Heittola will get a reply from an OTRS volounteer if there are any addional question or similar in this case. regards. --JuTa 14:44, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

thanks for the info! So the picture itself with its license codes is good as it is, the OTRS will fix it for good after they get Mika's email? And nothing more for me to do about it?

File:Luis Herrero.jpg which you uploaded has been tagged with {{OTRS pending}} for more than 30 days. This tag indicates that an email setting out permission to use the file was sent to the Volunteer Response Team. Unfortunately, we cannot find any record that such an email has been received, and accordingly the file remains without permission. Unless the Volunteer Response Team receives evidence that permission has been granted within 15 days of today's date, the file will be deleted. If you have already sent the permission, please re-send it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org now. Please quote the file name ("File:Luis Herrero.jpg") in your email. At the same time, please leave a message at the VRT noticeboard so that a volunteer can follow this up or contact a VRT member directly.

Thanks for uploading File:Luis Herrero.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

Hi, you ust reuploaded this image. Above ou wrote: ...Mika Heittola, who took the picture, to send this message: "I am willing to publish this foto: luis_herrero.jpg under a free license". This is normaly not enough. He has to name th license he likes to publish th image under; {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} is recommanded. Did Mika got any mails back from th commons support team with addional question or similar? --JuTa 08:12, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.

Okay, now I sent email to this permissions-commons, with Mika in the email chain, and I told that the licence Mika (and I) want is that one you said: tl|cc-by-sa-3.0.

I hope this works. Here's Mika's conversation, it was about naming the right type of licence.

Adding images seems to be a tricky task..of course it's good to be precise.

Cheers, Luis
