Wiki Loves Earth Spain 2018 has started![edit]

Dear Saldeplata, As every year, Wiki Loves Earth in Spain, an international photographic contest about natural heritage sites in the Spanish territory, started on May 1st. On behalf of the Wikipedia community and Wikimedia España (WM-ES), and as a participant in former editions of the event, we'd like to encourage you to participate in the 2018 edition. We do know that you've been keen on contributing your work to the free knowledge in the past and therefore believe that you'll be glad to help us again to document biodiversity. If you have comments, questions or suggestions about the contest, they are more than welcome. You can leave them here. You can review the rules of the contest in it official site (Spanish). Wiki Science Competition 2019[edit]
Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2019 has started in the whole world. It is now completed in Russia (active in May), Ukraine and France (active during November), but it's still open in all the other countries.
If you want to take part where WSC2019 is still open, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.
If you are an expert user, please consider that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.
Please keep in mind that there is a new category this year, i.e. "nature and wildlife".
If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase, please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2020.

Wiki Loves Folklore 2023 has started, Join us![edit]

Greetings from Wiki Loves Folklore International Team!
Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.
The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.
How to Contribute?
The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February to 31 March 2023. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. It’s simple: grab a camera, record an image, video or audio under the folklore theme and start uploading ! To learn more about the rules, check out our Project page on Wikimedia Common. Here are the exciting prizes which you can win internationally.
