[edit]

A set of images along the lines of what you did for Cleveland county, Oklahoma and its city's and towns, for Oklahoma county, Oklahoma.--Dcheagletalkcontribs 21:17, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

On a panoramic view like thate, one can assume that the poles are straight, and the buildings too. If you look at the center of the picture, there is a pole behind the green sign. This pole should be parallel to the vertical borders of the picture. Pleclown (talk) 06:44, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Commons:Rollback. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. (tJosve05a (c) 04:29, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright?

[edit]

I do not completely understand the copyright rules, I uploaded (what I thought) copyright free movie posters that I see often used on this site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ANDREWs13 (talk • contribs) 01:42, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@ANDREWs13: Fair use images are not accepted on Commons; see Commons:Fair use and Commons:Licensing. Ks0stm (TCGE) 01:45, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Pay attention to copyright
File:Tornado in southwestern Oklahoma on November 7, 2011.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

  • This file is a copyright violation for the following reason: Per the NWS Public Domain template, "Thus, all* images on NWS servers are public domain (including "Courtesy of ..." and “Photo by ...” images) unless specifically stated otherwise through a copyright (©) watermark. (emphasis mine) The original image has a copyright watermark on the bottom right (© Chris Spannagle), so it is therefore not in the public domain and is copyrighted.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

File:Fog Bowl 1988.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

@Ks0stm, I want to warn you that this file has been tagged for speedy deletion because it appears to be a clear copyright violation. I understand that you are a Wikipedia administrator; so you probably already know (or should know) that over here at Commons, we take copyright very seriously.
