A barnstar for you!

The Technical Barnstar
Thank you so much for your color corrections on the three photographs I requested (2-27, 2-28, and 2-29). Please accept this barnstar as a small token of my appreciation. I greatly appreciate your contributions. Without your corrections, these photographs were borderline ruined. With your help, they look fantastic. Thanks again! 19870326a Grenze Heiligensee.jpg

Hallo Magenta Green,

Help to remove watermarks

Hello Magenta, I was looking for somebody who can help me to remove watermarks. I have nominated article Shaina NC for GA review and I think reviewers may raise point about watermarks. Even if they don't object, such images with watermarks are not appropriate for encyclopedic article. Can you please remove these watermarks? Thanks! Abhi (talk) 07:05, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi @Abhi: , this is actually not the proper way to enter photos for repairing and the small image size also makes it any easier, I'll see what I can do. Regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 17:49, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. The job is done by another user and watermarks from images are removed just few hours ago. Thanks. Abhi (talk) 18:44, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, too. I noticed it as well. What should Gorbachev have said: Those who are late will be punished by life. Regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 18:59, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Little assistance

Hey MagentaGreen! Would you like to help at a request at the English Wikipedia Graphic's Lab? I think your work would require this request. Best, --///EuroCarGT 17:09, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

As far as I can see, your change consisted of a very slight sharpening (not an "improvement of contrast and exposure" as your comment says) and I can't see any reason to think this image looks better with this slight sharpening. Can you explain to me why you are making a change like this to my photo? - Jmabel ! talk 01:33, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi @Jmabel: this should definitely not be criticism of your work and there are actually only minimal changes. The processing part of my normal workflow associated with a request for cropping (see here).
Sharpness is achieved digitally over contrast and brightness, and I had the impression that for the area around the eyes this can not hurt. Regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 08:07, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
An example of senseless waste of time and space
File:Romain Rolland au balcon, Meurisse, 1914.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

I'm not the creator of this file and would prefer not to participate in any of these niggling, prejudicial and extremely senseless discussions. MagentaGreen (talk) 21:48, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Dates on historical images.

Nice work on the cropping of File:View of Passenger Speeder 04 In foreground Boom Speeder 75 in background left and Boom Speeder 59 in background right - Electron Hydroelectric Project, Along Puyallup River, Haer Wash, 27-Elec, 1-53 Crop.jpg and related images! I've changed the "date" field on the cropped versions to reflect the date on the source image. It's probably a good practice to retain this information when cropping photos, especially in the case of anything of historical significance. Cheers! --jnkyrdsprkl (talk) 20:19, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

I have to concede such mistakes very likely in future too. No one is perfect, but a team can be. Best regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 20:47, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Please change the image license from cc-by-2.0 to cc-by-sa-2,0 , you have one -by-sa image in use so you can't use the less restrictive -by. Please link to the original author's Flickr pages for proper attribution. --Denniss (talk) 18:03, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

It is a derivative work and I hoped that the sources were specified correctly. Also in the future I can not do everything right and I would not mind if these corrections could also be eliminated by the detector, because she or he is probably more familiar with these issues than I. Regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 20:14, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Fixed it for you. --Denniss (talk) 20:45, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

MagentaGreen (talk) 12:06, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Danke für die Aktualisierung, jetzt auch mit 5. Bild sichtbar. Viele Grüße, --A doubt (talk) 14:55, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
-- Maxxl² - talk 09:21, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
-- Maxxl² - talk 09:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
OK, das wird passen. MagentaGreen (talk) 09:55, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

You can use File:Aristotle wind rose.svg as the strating point for translations. The file page also has a link to auto-translation tool that can be used to change the texts to any language and upload the resulting file. --Rubber Duck () 16:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Dear @Krishnavedala: , what is the point of that?
For your information: My version has passed the test at W3C successfully as SVG 1.1 + XHTML + MathML 3.0!
I've already told you that you are not the originator of this file. Please specify sources and author correctly. Thank You, MagentaGreen (talk) 14:04, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Panoramic photo

Hi, can you help me doing a panorama with File:LagoadaConceicao-Panorama-feb2015.jpg, I am trying with Hugin but I can't stitch the pictures. Regards!!! Ezarateesteban 21:38, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

@Ezarate: I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I think you mean a panorama of the following 3 files:
is that right? If yes, I will take care of it. Regards MagentaGreen (talk) 22:08, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I think that I could do a panorama with all the photos uploaded here but if you can use only three, go ahead. Thanks!!! Ezarateesteban 22:12, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

@Ezarate: I still do not understand properly, are there even more pictures that I've to taken into consideration? MagentaGreen (talk) 00:58, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Look here, I uploaded 7 images to try to do a panorama, Regards Ezarateesteban 18:40, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
@Ezarate: Probably something went wrong. You obviously uploaded the same photo 7 times in a row. Would you like to try again or leave it with the existing 3? regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 13:22, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Request for color correction on a few more photos

MagentaGreen,

First of all, thank you again for the color corrections that you did for me last year on three Chicago, South Shore, and South Bend interurbans (2-27, 2-28, and 2-29). I absolutely love how they look now!

I'm no color expert, but I believe that there are five more photos in the collection I'm working with that may be able to use color correction. In order, from most in need of color correction to least in need (or maybe not in need), they are:

Thanks in advance for any color corrections and/or advice you can provide on these images. I really appreciate your contributions here on Commons!
