Swedish Government pictures[edit]

Hello Fschoenm. I saw that you created Template:SwedishGovernment but unluckily the conditions of this license are against the requirements of the Wikimedia Commons, see Commons:Licensing. So I put it and all images using it for the time beeing on Commons:Deletion requests. Perhaps you can ask at the swedish governmental offices (e.g. via email or phone) and explain to them what we are and why we can only accept free content as this would be really a pity if we have to delete these nice images. I'm sure they will at least listen and answer to you (this was at least my experience in other similar cases). Arnomane 11:12, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

Categories[edit]

Hi Fschoenm, I notice you're doing a great job sorting out categories. Keep up the good work! WikiThanks.png Finn Rindahl 14:33, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks :) --Fschoenm 14:39, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I'm not the author nor the original uploader: I just recovered an old version of it. Regards. --Dodo 19:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I copied the warning to User talk:Setdominguez. Regards, Finn Rindahl 12:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Kategorien[edit]

Moin Fschoenm!

--Fschoenm 14:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Germany money[edit]

Hello, kamaraden! Thank you for DM, but 8 kb is the very, very, very small or bad! 70 kb - min, 200 kb - good, 2 Mb - very good. Thanks, see - Image:US10dollarbill-Series 2004A.jpg, 20 Мв/all right! Image:Mirandaprueba.JPG etc[edit]

I see you are keeping up the good work Face-smile.svg, really good to have you around here! Just a tip: when dealing with obscure maps etc like the one above, a quick glance at the uploaders contribs may give a very good hint about what an image is about, even if it's lacking description or have been put in a meaningless category like category:Maps. Regards, Finn Rindahl 11:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Me again...[edit]

...just thought this link might be useful to you. You're doing an impressive amount of work here, and even if you haven't really been active at the community pages (Commons:) it would seem you could make use of some more buttons soon. Regards, Finn Rindahl 20:27, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for the link ... ;) Though, I'm not sure if I'd be ready to be an admin yet. Don't you think someone should be more active on the Commons pages before applying for adminship? --Fschoenm 17:52, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Not that I know much about it :) but you seem like a worthwhile candidate to me too. I think Finn has a point about community pages but maybe you should think about it. Thanks for the work anyway & regards --Herby talk thyme 07:31, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
The good thing about watching the community pages (Commons:) is that you get to know more about all aspects of this huge project. The good thing about contributing (apart from the fact that help is needed there as well) is that other users get to know and recognize you. Many of the "regular voters" at RfA are concerned about such participation and interactions with other users, it's almost just as important as knowledge of the technical and legal stuff. You've done many tons of edits, but I only noticed you because I had tagged a lot of images {{uncat}} and you came along sorting all of them out almost right away. Regards, Finn Rindahl 10:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Image sources indicated but ...[edit]

I see you marked the image image:Silicon_chip_3d.png for possible deletion. I have however indicated on the page that it was loaded from the English Wikipedia and released there under GNU/FDL license by David Carron. I do however not understand why the template does not work as it should. --Renier Maritz 10:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:IraqWWII_en.svg[edit]

Hi, I see you tagged this. It is a self made map I made using inkscape. I have added an apprporiate GNU licence. I trust this satisfies the copyright requirements. Stephen Kirrage talk - contribs 12:09, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, sorry, I forgot to check the history of the image page :( An anonymous editor has removed the licensing information. --Fschoenm 13:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Delete relocated categories?[edit]

Hi Fschoenm, I’ve seen that You initiated the relocation of Category:People from Bremen to Category:People of Bremen – can the now empty category People from Bremen be taged for speedydeletion or is there some special procedure to be observed in these cases? Greetings --Gepardenforellenfischer (talk) 18:18, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
