Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. Thanks for uploading File:Torreya taxifolia norlina.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Torreya taxifolia norlina.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

- See that I just created a Wikimedia User page for myself, Connie Barlow, using my Wikipedia user name CBarlow. I was unaware that a Wikipedia user can't expect Wikimedia to see the original wikipedia name as registered. The picture in question here is a top-down photo I took of Paul Martin's essay in Wild Earth in the late 90s. I can't find that document anywhere online, so I photographed my own old copy. The author is PAUL SCHULTZ MARTIN, and he died in 2010. Wild Earth magazine died in 2005. Martin and I were colleagues; he wrote the Foreword to my "The Ghosts of Evolution" 2001 book. I just started editing his existing wikipedia page, so started uploading some images yesterday, one of which I already put into Paul Schultz Martin. I spoke at his memorial service in Tucson, and created a webpage titled "Tribute to Paul S. Martin" on another website of mine, which is intended to entail his major works and a lot of photos I took of him and the "Mammoth Memorial Service" that he and I co-conducted at the Mammoth Site in South Dakota in the late 90s. Here is the web url: https://thegreatstory.org/paul-s-martin-tribute.html

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

- I just created an official user page for myself: CBarlow. Here is what I wrote:
- CBarlow is my name on Wikipedia, and I have been using it here in the commons[edit]
- I am Connie Barlow, and you can see my user name and biography on Wikipedia here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Cbarlow
- Only recently have I begun uploading my own IMAGES when working on a wikipedia page.
- I was unaware that my User name in Wikipedia did not carry over into Wikimedia.
- I was just informed that some of the many pictures I uploaded over the past month for my work on the Wikipedia pages Torreya taxifolia (and possibly Torreya californica too) have been questioned because my CBarlow user name was never made official on the commons.
- So now I am doing that.
- My bio and publications in the real world are at: https://thegreatstory.org/CB-writings.html
- I am also on Researchgate.
- I am the channel owner of the YOUTUBE channel ghostsofevevolution, and I recently uploaded some of the thumbnails and screen captures from those videos. All video thumbnails for the Torreya Guardians group, of which I am founder and webmaster, can be seen on a video page there with titles, summaries, and links to youtube: http://www.torreyaguardians.org/video.html
- I hope this solves the problem that KING OF HEARTS pointed out. I will now go onto that red-lined CBarlow user page — that I was unaware existed — and paste this reply into that too.
