Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hi Marcela Franco Lozano: I appreciate that you are working to make nice articles about David Manzur, but you cannot claim his work as your own, and that counts for photos you took that include the work. For either to be acceptable on Commons, where every image must be free to reuse for any purpose, the owner of the painting must give permission via Commons:OTRS. For example, File:Caballo de DM.jpg is another image of File:Caballo de la serie Obra Negra.jpg. Please read the information at the top of this page regarding copyrights, and if you do have permission to use any of these pictures, have the owner send the e-mail. Otherwise they are all going to get deleted. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:29, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Artista David Manzur.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Artista David Manzur.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hello. I don't understand why you blocked me and want to delete my photos, since the permission you were requering was already sent (2 days ago, I think), to the e-mail permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Please check the e-mail before deleting the photos because this is really affecting my job, and I'm doing nothing but sharing with the community some information about an amazing artist and his work. Thank you, I'll wait for your response.

See COM:BLOCK, particularly "Abusing multiple accounts to mislead, deceive, disrupt, distort consensus or to evade blocks or other sanctions" and "Repeated uploading of inappropriately licensed media is grounds for blocking an account. "
Despite both accounts receiving warnings/notifications, you continued uploading images and made no effort ([1][2]) to contact anyone for assistance. When images are deleted, the appropriate response is to stop uploading, to ask questions, and to wait for the permission email to be processed. No reasonable person would continue to use "brute force" to recreate images and carry on as if the notifications did not exist. You are blocked for abusing multiple accounts and for disruption. Эlcobbola talk 21:03, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, let's clear some things up. First of all, you can not be rude to the users because they don't know all of the Wikipedia rules, you have to explain things first! "No reasonable person" delete information/photos, or block a user before reading the e-mails they send or without contact the user personally to TALK about the problem (not just letting some links to read a lot of information about politics). I have to justify myself because the truth is I didn't know a few things:

1. I'm sorry if I created the account "Marcela Lozano", I did it because I couldn't find any other way to create an article in other language (portuguese). Now I know how it's done to the same account, but at the time I didn't, and I had a deadline to deliever the articles so that was the faster solution I found. I didn't pretend to abuse any of Wikipedia rules, so I'm deeply sorry if I did. You can delete that account if you prefer, it's not a problem to me. 2. Like I said, I had a deadline to deliever the articles about Manzur in spanish, english, french and portuguese (but of course, I couldn't deliever these in time). That's the reason I continued uploading photos and sharing information, even when you deleted everything. I swichted the source as Manzur's assitent told me to do, so that the photos could stay in the articles with the right sources, but even so you didn't let me finish the articles. 3. Yesterday, the artist himself sent you a wrote permission by e-mail, saying that the user "Marcela Franco Lozano" was authorized to share and upload information about him and his work (text and photos), on Wikipedia and Wikimedia. I'd appreciate if you just read the e-mail and answer it, indicating if is still something wrong going on with that. If it is, please tell me what is it and I will fix it.

Thank you for your time, please tell me if I can continue with the uploads or not, of course I'd appreciate I could keep doing the articles for the artist, since is an important painter and the community should know everything about him, and I have permission to share this.

I've not been rude to you. There are at least seven notes above (ignoring those on the other talk page), including a personal note by Yngvadottir. You made no effort to contact anyone, and instead continued uploading and recreating deleted images. This is, objectively, not reasonable behavior. That you were in haste or pressured by others does not exempt you from the necessity of learning or inquiring about our rules and the issues we were attempting to communicate. For example: the notices you received contained:
  • "Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, and Commons:Permission if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own."
  • "For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may find Commons:Copyright rules useful"
  • "The file you added has been deleted. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion."
  • "You can ask questions about Commons policies in Commons:Help desk."
Those are unambiguous attempts to explain, and indeed contain links to the relevant polices. (Per you: "you have to explain things first!"). I would be willing to unblock you once you understand the issues; this includes: 1) only using a single account; 2) not uploading any images of which you yourself are not the author until the relevant permission has been processed; and 3) not reuploading deleted content.
