First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Уважаемый коллега, обращаю Ваше внимание, как участника, наиболее активно загружающего изображения с этого ресурса, что Виталий Кузьмин с 30 августа изменяет лицензию на несовместимую с Commons. Пока описание условий на этой странице не учитывает безотзывности лицензии линейки Creative Commons и потребует изменений, но так или иначе, загрузки изображений, размещённых на этом ресурсе, начиная с 30 августа, должны быть прекращены. Полно категорий куда более объёмных. Субъективные критерии «загруженности» тут ни к месту. Все пулемёты НСВ(Т) стоящие на вооружении военных структур РФ группируются в этой категории. Terminator 2[edit]

Is a thing that is real and not a error or made up name, even used by Sputnik News and Uralvagonzavod, its manufacturer, so i dont see how you can claim that the name is wrong and tried to rename some files from "Terminator 2" to "Terminator", an previous version of the BMPT. You are right as said by Jane ("significant difference between the two vehicles (...) due to the removal of the two, bow-mounted 30 mm automatic grenade launchers") and Army Technology ("The crew size of the BMPT-72 has been reduced to three, by removing two grenade launching positions aboard the BMPT"). Sorry about the confusion as the turret of the most recent Terminator 1 IFV´s are not similar to the first Terminator 1 but similar (or the same as) to the Terminator 2 and so led to this confusion. Milex 2023[edit]

Добрый день! В Минске 17 мая откроется выставка вооружений и военной техники Milex-2023. Может быть, у Вас будут пожелания о конкретных образцах, которые нужно будет сфотографировать на открытой площадке и во внутреннем выставочном зале полностью или в каких-нибудь конкретных деталях (системы активной защиты, орудие и т.д.) для нужд Викисклада и статей Википедии? Я уже добавил в список объектов для фотографирования Т-90МС и БМПТ на базе Т-90 (близкий родственник Терминатора?), но что-то менее масштабное могу ненароком и пропустить. – Homoatrox (talk) 09:16, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Желательно новинки фотографировать, которых нет на викискладе. По 100 раз фотографировать один и тот же БМПТ смысла ведь нет, да и времяёмкое занятие. Новинки инженерной техники, артиллерии, ПВО, прицелы (включая танков и БМП), средства связи, радары всевозможные. Если будут модификации старой техники, то тоже можно, например Т-72Б3 образца 2022 года. Продукцию белорусского ВПК надо бы снять, кроме уже имеющихся в избытке вроде МБТС Кайман. Обязательно нужно снять РСЗО Торнадо-С, если он будет, фото в хорошем качестве не хватает. Nickel nitride (talk) 09:38, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
