Update[edit]

File:Digital terrestrial television standards.svg needs to be updated - Switzerland has ended DTT broadcasting as of June 2019. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Данасул (talk • contribs) 12:54, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Данасул: ✓ Done Night Lanternhalo? 03:20, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is is one remaining DVB-T antenna and a DVB-T2 one was later activated. There's a plan to activate another DVB-T2 antenna (maybe it will also replace the DVB-T transmission?). I only saw the DVB-T antenna in the government's report (the active T2 is paid by an Austrian cable operator and I think T2 was not officially adopted). 217.162.74.13 02:54, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

20) Greenland has completed transition 2012. (https://sermitsiaq.ag/dit-tv-gaar-maaske-sort)

24) Correction for Uganda: Switchover is complete as of 2015, see the source I gave above.

25) Vanuatu is (at least) in transition. (https://www.islandlifemag.com/latest-news-pacific/vanuatu-national-tv-station-makes-switch-digital/). Maybe complete? But can't find proper source to support completion.

26) Kiribati is in transition. It uses DVB-T2. (https://www.rnz.co.nz/international/programmes/datelinepacific/audio/2018643030/kiribati-to-get-its-first-tv-station https://twitter.com/WenzelKenneth/status/1043916050746802177)

27) Falkland Islands is (at least) in transition. (https://www.terrestrialtv.uk/dtt.cgi?pg=overseas)

28) Saint Helena is (at least) in transition as of 2012. Should be DVB-T2 blue on map. (https://web.archive.org/web/20130531013007/http://www.shbc.sh/sentinel/Sentinel_120329.pdf https://www.terrestrialtv.uk/dtt.cgi?pg=overseas)

29) Belize and South Sudan have not yet planned a DTT network, so should be grey in the Standards map.

30) Correction for Turkey: Previously said it should be grey on Standards map as there's no DTT network. But the network is planned and DVB-T is confirmed for rollout soon, so best to make it blue again.

31) Qatar uses DVB-T so should be blue in Standards map. (https://www.dvb.org/news/qatar-goes-dvb_t2)

32) Gibraltar is missing from Standards map. DVB-T.

33) Cayman Islands is (at least) in transition as of 2012.

34) Curacao is (at least) in transition. DVB-T. (https://www.dvb.org/news/curacao-uses-dvb-t/country/curacao) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Venderci411 (talk • contribs) 14:05, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also a note, I think the green and blue colours on the Transition map should merge (or rather remove blue). Because it is a bit dubious to say "early phases" of transition especially as it is a bit unclear in many countries (could also be incorrect currently, because Turkey for example is yet to complete its future digital transmitter - and also, N Korea "not intending" also seems wrong as I can't find source for it, and also see https://www.northkoreatech.org/2013/03/17/report-dprk-testing-digital-tv/). We could have a single green for countries that "have not yet started, or are not planning transition" (e.g. Turkey, N Korea, Guyana, Belize, Kosovo etc, backed by sources), and leave grey for countries whose situation is currently unclear (for example Bangladesh and Bhutan, I was unable to find sources that DTT was officially rolled out). Good idea? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Venderci411 (talk • contribs) 10:33, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Venderci411: ✓ Done, Uganda is already done. Talking about North Korea, there is indeed a change on their TV silently being done. There is even a smart TV made by their technology company in 2019 with Android operating system. I believe there is some change on their broadcasting been ongoing there with a move towards digitalisation like in the rest of the world, but since it is a Hermit kingdom, it is rare to get a quick information on them. Night Lanternhalo? 08:36, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Also I'd make Belize, Guatemala, Guyana, Kosovo (http://www.kpm-ks.org/materiale/dokument/1537538961.3357.pdf), Angola, Zimbabwe, Liberia (https://frontpageafricaonline.com/diaspora/liberia-optimistic-of-digital-migration-as-china-concludes-tv-seminar-for-africa), Democratic Republic Congo (https://www.biztechafrica.com/article/drc-tv-faces-dtt-challenges/8551/?country=democratic-republic-congo), Somaliland (not Somalia) (https://www.refworld.org/pdfid/5b4310f34.pdf) and Tajikistan (https://www.osce.org/programme-office-in-dushanbe/215401?download=true) green on the transition map, since we've got sources that claim they are either in process (e.g. Zimbabwe) or are planning for future (e.g. Kosovo) of building a DTT network. Also the Kosovo governmental source above says they will use DVB-T2, so it will have to be blue in the Standards map. Also the case for Gambia (http://www.pura.gm/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Digital-switch-over-policy.pdf).
Also update:

Current map file, note China as a whole even if it was just in Hong Kong. And Hong Kong still keep different rules and regulations so it is allowed to happen. To put whole China is wrong and can look as biased and not according to facts. I put an note at file talk page about it. It was changed recently to include whole China, maybe as a mistake and should be fixed. Thank you. 178.220.209.166 04:36, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:2019-nCoV Outbreak Cases in Cambodia.svg[edit]

Some provincial borders in the map are either wrong or not updated.
- Preah Sihanouk Province is bigger than in the map because it added a new district and islands from Koh Kong Province.
- Kampong Cham province is now split into 2 provinces
- The border between Siem Reap and Oddar Meanchey is wrong.

I think you should choose the latest update file to make this file again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nann Chhay (talk • contribs) 10:11, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Question regarding fridays for future map[edit]

Dear Night Lantern:) I just created an account because I wanted to ask you a question regarding the map of Fridays for Future you created/edited. I hope this is the right place to rise the question:) Is there any possibility to see/get the total numbers, which had been used for the countries (I'm especially interested in UK, Germany, the US and Australia). I'm in the process of writing my bachelor thesis and I need to calculate an approximate number of participants per inhabitants. Advice to fix display error in Malay Wikipedia (Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu) on your File:COVID-19 Outbreak Cases in Malaysia (Density).svg.[edit]

Why does your File:COVID-19 Outbreak Cases in Malaysia (Density).svg is still stuck in October 2020 within computer/desktop version in Malay Wikipedia (Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu) regardless of what computer that is being used. However, in English Wikipedia, it works well and already in April 2021. Any suggestion or advice to fix it?Shahsukanulis (talk) 16:30, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This map is long overdue for a color scale readjustment to account for the higher total case count.

All but one state (Perlis) are now graded in either the 1000-9999 or >10,000 level, with five states under the >10,000 level already clocking at 2-12 times the maximum 10,000 case limit (Selangor has 126,000 cases now). At the rate it's going there's going to be nothing but indistinguishably dark shades. - 60.52.104.111 20:55, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Could you update the map urgently? All but one state are recording over the maximum 10k case threshold. The map is virtually useless now. Thanks. - 180.75.201.91 23:54, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
