Hi! I noted that you categorized File:Церковь Казанчецоц.jpg as Category:Churches in unidentified countries. Maybe it was simply because you categorized many images and did not have time to look closer into all of them, but in case a tip might be of any worth, I'd like to point out that it is quite easy to identify countries by using Google translate, which can be accessed by a right-click with add-ons. Морозов - это ru:Морозов, Алексей Викулович, промышленник, коллекционер, автор Каталога собрания русских гравированных и литографированных портретов. В этом издании и нужно искать настоящего автора. Прошу помочь

Доброго здоровья! Вчера было удалено несколько файлов, загруженных мною (File:Fest logo ultimate.jpg и др., см. User talk:Лобачев Владимир). Я заметил, когда они уже были удалены и не смог среагировать (исправить, дополнить или просто объяснить). Причем файлы были сделаны или мною или сфотографированы специально по моей просьбе для Википедии. Что в этом случае посоветуете предпринять? --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 05:21, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Плакаты были удалены т.к. кроме фотографа ещё учитывают права авторов самого плаката. Фотографии Геннадия Михеева были удалены, т.к. на его сайте написано, что он разрешает только некоммерческое использование, а такие материалы Викисклад не принимает. Чтобы загрузить его фотографии нужно, чтобы он изменил описание на сайте или написал письмо как описано здесь - Commons:OTRS/ru. То же самое с плакатами - нужны прямые разрешения от их авторов --Butko (talk) 06:48, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Андрей, начиная с File:Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary 007.jpg и заканчивая File:Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary 572.jpg (из того, что пока вижу, это не ЭСБЕ, а Engraved illustrations of Classical Sculpture from Iconographic Encyclopedia of Science, Literature and Art, Published in 1851. В подверждение [вот]. Думаю нужно убрать эти файлы из категории Images from Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary и создать для них другую. Я перенёс изображения в Category:Engraved illustrations from Iconographic Encyclopedia of Science, Literature and Art, Published in 1851 и переименовал их. Только у меня получилось 488 файлов, а не 445 как в обсуждении по ссылке. Описания поменяю чуть позже, пока можно проверить правильный ли список получился --Butko (talk) 22:15, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Ваш скан серии марок [[1]] Является дубликатом скана [[2]], только у вашего скана черные поля больше. Номера танков-памятников в Донецке

Здравствуйте. Если вы ещё появляетесь в Донецке и у вас появится такая возможность, попробуйте сфотографировать заводские серийные номера танков Т-34 и Т-34-85 у мемориала (где точно, см. [3]). The problem is in specifying the exact author of the file. I looked at vk profile of the original uploader Katsyaryna Sidarenka of this photo. I took the first Shurik I found and thought that it's him. Years as categories

ButkoBot sometimes categorizes images with a year. It is almost never useful to add a year as a category, since those who take a look in a category search for images that illustrate the topic of that category, and not random events that happened to take place in a certain year. Year-categories are easily cluttered by irrelevant images. They should rather contain subcategories and images of important events. I suggest that we let users add year-categories manually and avoid letting bots do it. --Jonund (talk) 18:34, 21 November 2014 (UTC)

Paper money

Okay, thanks. The issue I mean arises when the country is known (Maldives) but the exact location is not. In that example, should Category:Piers in unidentified countries be removed, since the contry is known, the whole categorization of the photo would lose any connection to piers. A way to fix it would be Category:Unidentified piers in the Maldives, but given the scarce amount of unidentified piers in Commons (or at least those categorized as such), it seems unwarrented. -- Tuválkin ✉ 14:29, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Однако в последнее время указанный участник удаляет из нее все файлы. Аргументации, что существует такая статья — не помогли. Categories naming

I see you using a bot to recategorise images into Category:Foo in unidentified Country this is inaccurate as the image are in country categories already they just havent been put into a country category within a specific structure ie buildings in country. You are also removing them from higher level categories and placing them into a single branch when they should in other more appropriate categories within the higher level structure. I suggest you take some time to think about how to better identify and sort these so as to avoid devaluing the whole collection. Gnangarra 02:43, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

I agree that Subject unsorted by country can be more accurate name. Single photos shouldn't be in higher level categories. Usualy higher level categories are added by bot, flickf2coommons or users without expirience and duplicate with more accurate categories. Вы в массовом порядке создаёте категории персон без defaultsort'а. Это приводит к тому, что в материнских категориях практически невозможно что-либо найти попервой букве фамилии. Тогда не могли бы вы удалить вашу марку или хотя бы выставить вашу марку на удаление как ее заливщик? Эту марку я уже пытался удалить несколькими способами, но безуспешно. А у вас как у хозяина особые права. Возможно, по критериям Склада ваша марка неудаляема. ex-Category:Cities and villages in France

Hello,

I just noticed (bit late) the change of name from that one to "Category:Localities of cities and villages in France". This new name looks like it's been thought of by a non-native Engl. speaker, which wld be beside the point:

  • if it didn't turn out quite heavier-sounding than the previous title (but that's the least of it);
  • if it didn't make it that much harder to find because the new name is quasi impossible to think of for whoever hasn't seen it before - which implies that some photos do not receive the category they correspond to;
  • and by the same principle if it didn't make it more difficult to remember;
  • if the novelty did not stop at adding a redundancy in the title, thus skipping the usefulness of adding any information.

So. Out of (somewhat shocked) curiosity, could you please explain the rationale behind changing the name of all these categories to names that are longer, heavier in the mouth, not quite english thus harder to find and harder to remember, all that (and that much work) for something that appears to be worse in all regards? Две гашеные марки

Здравствуйтеǃ Имеется 2 скана одной и той же гашеной марки, физически марки разныеː 1 и 2, 1-я ваша. Сканы одинакового очень большого разрешения. Но по качеству разные. 1) Если чистую марку загрузить отдельным файлом, то в случае, если одна из двух гашеных будет потом удаляться, получится лишняя нагрузка на участников. 2) Также при перезаливке гашеной марки чистой гашеная марка как бы останется под чистой на странице. 3) Кроме того, тогда возникнет еще одно лишнее стандартное переименование, связанное с png-форматом, которого не будет в случае перезаливки. Ретушь ретуши рознь. Если это было просто улучшение качества, то всё остаётся как было. А если оригинальный фон марки поменяли, на фон из другого изображения, то непонятно зачем это нужно на Викискладе --Butko (talk) 07:46, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Вот пока единственный замеченный мной случай с полной (необрезанной) маркой. Оригинальная марка имеет фон как бы с "осыпавшейся краской". Рисунок "осыпания" совершенно одинаковый и на блоке, и во всех каталогах. Кстати, другая марка этой серии тоже с "осыпанием" краски. На складе есть вами "подретушированная" марка, которую мне посоветовали оставить (я ее сгоряча перезалил, пришлось по-новой загружать). Подкатегории

В этом случае тоже могут оставить только в В, т.к. будет считаться, что файл уже и так есть в А (А → Б → В). А вот, например, если а А есть подкатегории Б и Г, то файл одновременно может быть и в Б и в Г. --Butko (talk) 07:43, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Бот в Украинской Википедии

Здравствуйте! У вашего бота есть флаг в Украинской Википедии, однако аккаунт неактивен уже три с половиной года. До 2011 года бот занимался интервики, что сейчас неактуально. Переименование марок

Здравствуйтеǃ Первый раз отказали в переименовании файлов с изображениями гашеных марок. Причем в именах нет ни каталога, ни номера по каталогу. Вот один из файловː Борьба. Не переименовали 4 марки из серии 5 марок, причем пятую перед этим переименовал другой участник. Что посоветуете делать?
